• Mazda CX-5

Not sure if this is still going. But Mazda was planing a smaller Maxda3 based crossover called the CX-5 .This illustration shows what it could look like, and it could turn out really nice. And it could bring a new segment into the US market, where the CRV and RAV4 have grown larger and larger… Continue reading Mazda CX-5

  • New Holden Compact

Instead of getting a version of the upcoming Opel Astra, Holden’s next compact car will be based on the Chevrolet/Daewoo Cruze.I guess it’ll make things cheaper. Holden claims the car will have its own design, but by looking at this “overly optimistic” illustration of the car, it does look a lot like the Cruze. With… Continue reading New Holden Compact

  • 2010 Ford Taurus interior

I think it is, so far, very impressive.I am not sure they needed to surround every single switch with a chrome ring though… But still. For a car in this price range it seems really nice. Although I was disappointed by the 2010 Mustang interior in real life, I still think the Flex is great.… Continue reading 2010 Ford Taurus interior

  • 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

The old new Equinox looks a lot better. Not that the current one looked bad, really. The big news are also the all new engines. Especially the new 2.4 Liter that is supposed to get 30mpg on the highway. Which beats pretty much everything else in that cathegory. We’ll see….

  • Tiny Opel SUV coming up

This looks to be based on the Trio concept from a couple of years ago. That would be nice to see this here as well. As a competition to the Scion, Cube and Soul. It probably won’t be a Saturn but it would make a nice little Chevy…

  • New VW Polo illustration

VW is still considering weather or not to bring the next “smaller than Rabbit” Polo over here. With the new Golf/Rabbit, a revised Passat, redesigned Bettle and all new “US only” sedan, the Polo would be a nice fit in a much more attractive US line up.

  • New GM engines

GM announced 2 new engines. Both with direct injection. (Like their 2.0 Liter Turbo)The 2.4 Liter is good for 180hp and should return 30MPG on the highway.I guess this would eventually replace the current 2.4 Liter used in so many GM cars. The new one will debut in the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. There is also a new… Continue reading New GM engines

  • Chevrolet Cruze in production

In China…. The engine plant for the US version has been delayed. Again. So we won’t see one for a while. But in China, production started this week.

  • Lexus RX in the flesh

It doesn’t really look better than the last time I saw it, at the auto show. That front and alone is hard to swallow…

  • No new Chryslers for a month

Chrysler just announced they will stop production of all new cars until January 19th.That is really not good news… Out of the “big 3” they seem to be in the worse shape. Both GM and Ford offer good and attractive cars right now, and even more are on the way.Chrysler doesn’t have much now, and… Continue reading No new Chryslers for a month

  • 2010 Nissan Patrol

With the Armada being canceled soon, some people are saying the next generation old fashion/ body on frame/ trucky Patrol might make it into the US.I’m not sure.It competes around the world with the Toyota Land Cruiser. Which is pretty much the same market as the Armada. And that is a shrinking market in the US.… Continue reading 2010 Nissan Patrol

  • All new Hyundai Sonata

I guess it might be a 2010 or 2011 model. And it does look a lot slicker than the current one.Pretty close to that illustration I posted a few days ago.

  • Honda kills the next NSX

Honda has decided to stop development of the next NSX model.A car that was actually supposed to come out pretty soon.So that decision is costing them quite a bit. And its V10 engine will probably never see the light of day either. They are also talks about canceling work on the new V8 for the… Continue reading Honda kills the next NSX

  • Subary Legacy Concept

Coming up at the Detroit Auto Show next month.Take out the LED headlights and add some real rear view mirrors, and you’ll have most of the next generation Legacy sedan.A good car that was never able to even compete with the Camry/Accord crowd. I wonder if the next one will be able to do better…

  • BYD E6

Another upcoming Chinese car with a great name. And also showing that Chinese manufacturers are still very involved into copying other people’s designs. This just looks like a new Honda. Am I wrong?

  • New Chinese Chery SUV

Just when you thought Chery could come out with decent designs, they show this around, the new P11.And what a great name too. This looks like a disturbed, perverted version of the RAV4…
