More pictures of the Fiat Freemont
Which is just a Dodge Journey with a new front end.Mostly. But it is kind of fun to see a Dodge interior with a Fiat logo, and a stick shift. Who would have though just a few years ago. It would be nice if they could find a way to sell the diesel version over… Continue reading More pictures of the Fiat Freemont

2012 Mini Coupe Prices
It will start at $22 000 for the Cooper Coupe with 121hp. The Cooper S goes for $25 300 and the 208 hp John Cooper Works will cost $31 900. This seems to be about $700 more than the regular hatchback. But also means that the convertible version might start at around $27 000. Or… Continue reading 2012 Mini Coupe Prices

2012 Mini Coupe
The weirdest looking Mini so far.We finally get to see pictures of the production model. Just a few weeks after we saw spy shots of the next generation Mini. Which means this will be based on the “old” version. Why not wait a bit???It’s not like the world couldn’t wait another minute for an awkward looking… Continue reading 2012 Mini Coupe

New Honda Beat for 2013 ?
The Honda beat was a cute little 2 seater convertible produced from 1991 to 1996.It was never sold in the US. As it was even much smaller than a Miata. There has been rumors about a new Beat for years. A larger one that would be sold overseas, including the US.A more direct competitor to… Continue reading New Honda Beat for 2013 ?

Chevrolet Cobalt Concept
What a confusing name for us. A “cobalt Concept”… But this is from GM Brazil, where, I guess, our old Cobalt was never sold. Not sure exactly what it is, except it looks like one of these “fake” concepts. That are actually thinly disguised production cars. And it looks to be based on the new Chevrolet… Continue reading Chevrolet Cobalt Concept

More pictures of the new 2012 Toyota Yaris
Still the European version. The interior seems to be pretty original, without looking to weird. Europe is scheduled to get a Hybrid version later. Not sure if it will be making it over here.It might be too close to the smaller Prius model coming out next year.

What are you driving ???
Right now.Not last year, the last time I asked. Unless it’s the same car.Not next year. Not your dream car. Just what are you driving on a daily basis. To go to work, run errands, go on week ends etc… I am just curious. Again…

2012 Mercedes B-Class
An all new Mercedes B-Class is due really soon.I am still surprise to see this picture before the new A-Class, which I though was supposed to come out first. The current B-Class came out in Europe in 2005, so a new one is due.I remember when Mercedes said they were going to sell it over here.… Continue reading 2012 Mercedes B-Class

Cars we should be getting: Audi A1
Really. We should be getting the cute looking A1 over here.I saw a few myself in my last trip in Europe, and they do look great in the streets. And not that small.( It is about 12 inches longer than a Mini Cooper) I am sure they do have their “good reasons”. Like Americans don’t… Continue reading Cars we should be getting: Audi A1

2012 Toyota Yaris
This is most likely the European version of the small Toyota. Which, so far, has been pretty much the same as ours, except for some details and specific engines. A more angular look, and the lack of center gauges seem to be the main changes. As far as we can see from these pictures. Even… Continue reading 2012 Toyota Yaris

All new Citroen DS5
Caught on the freeway in Europe. I guess this would be based on the C5 sedan. So it might be pretty large by European standards.I just wonder what it would be competing with. Maybe the new Opel Zafira? At least, Citroen isn’t shy about pushing the envelope.Something Subaru should be doing, instead of turning out… Continue reading All new Citroen DS5

All new BMW M5
The real car, finally. After 4.5 million spy shots. Twin Turbo V8 with 552hp. This has never been my kind of thing. But, I must say, after driving the CTS-V with similar horsepower, these super powerful cars are like a drug.

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid test drive coming up…
I am driving the Hybrid version of the Tahoe this week. It feels like “worlds collide”.A huge 6.0 Liter V8 engine, paired with an electric motor. The whole thing wrapped up in a 6000 lbs beast. Does it work, or is it a weird Frankenstein type experiment? I’ll answer your questions.

Cars we should be getting: Honda City
Already a 3 year old design, the current generation of the small Honda City sedan is still quite nice looking.I think it still looks better than the new 2012 Civic sedan. I also think there would be room for a smaller sedan under the Civic in Honda’s US lineup.Where it could compete with cars like… Continue reading Cars we should be getting: Honda City

R.I.P: Nissan Altima Hybrid
back when Toyota came out with the Hybrid version of the Camry. An Altima Hybrid sounded like a great idea.Even if it used Toyota technology. I test drove one a while ago and was very pleased with the car. I even averaged much more than the official numbers, almost 40MPG after a week of mixed… Continue reading R.I.P: Nissan Altima Hybrid

R.I.P: Ford C-Max for the US
They did show a US version of the C-Max a while ago.It is now dead. The C-Max we were scheduled to get was actually the larger 7 seater version they call the “Grand C-Max” in Europe. But Ford is quick to mention that the other 2 versions, the Energi and Ev ones are still on… Continue reading R.I.P: Ford C-Max for the US

Opel Astra Convertible
And now for the final version of the Astra. After the 5 door hatch, wagon, sedan (Sold here as the Buick Verano) and coupe, the convertible version is shaping up. I say bring this one over as well. Maybe a convertible Verano is more in line with what Buick needs than a sporty coupe?Of course, most… Continue reading Opel Astra Convertible

2012/13 Toyota RAV4
Or is it??? It does match the camouflage they’ve been using on the 2012 Camry prototypes. And the RAV4 is next as far as new SUVs or Crossover from Toyota. So I would think this is it. Even though it is so covered up we can’t tell much. What do you think?

2012 Mini Coupe
Even though these pictures are ‘official”, the car still have quite a bit of camouflage. But you can guess through most of it, and actually see what the real thing will look like.Which is pretty much similar to the concept from 2 years ago. And I think this is one of the problems of the car.… Continue reading 2012 Mini Coupe
