2023 Maserati Grecale: new photos…

Last Updated:

It seems they’ve been working on this forever. But the 2023 Maserati Grecale SUV doesn’t really look that new.
Upfront, it kind of looks like a jaguar E-Pace with a huge obnoxious Maserati SUV grille. Or maybe it’s just the lights.
Otherwise, it looks a lot like the larger Levante. Which is really not a popular car with only 1475 of them sold in 2018 (For some reason, the last year I can find)
I’m not sure it’s such a good idea to copy such an unpopular design for your next model…
And from what we’ve already seen of the interior, it won’t look that super special either.
The whole thing isn’t very impressive so far…
Good luck to them…

  1. I really don't like these headlights Maserati keeps using. I wish they'd stop. It doesn't look good on a crossover. Porsches headlights are also not appealing on crossovers and SUVs.

That said, I hope Maserati does well with this and starts taking more market share from the likes of BMW, Benz, Lexus, etc. It would be neat to have a new luxury brand in the mix. I barely ever see the Levante.

  3. It looks like a larger Mazda 3 hatchback with old Buick fake vent holes from the side. I really wonder what's going to happen to the nameplates that have invested so much of their identity over the last two decades in obnoxious grilles. I guess the early 21st century will be remembered for bizarre anachronistic fake grilles. Maybe by 2050 we will have smooth faces on our cars.

Remember when Audi was known for its good taste? Maybe someday. . .

  4. I want to see Stellantis and Maserati succeed, but this front end looks so generic. I see Jaguar CUV headlights. Nothing here excites me.
