Lonely Chrysler display…

  1. Hahaha, nobody cares about Chrysler. They should just pack it up and move along. Maybe Fiat can just come in and change the name/image to help, but I wouldn't even consider one.

BTW, it's funny that the word verification is crpzz (as in craps, what Chrysler has become)

  2. This is pretty rediculous that you have to keep beating on Chrysler. If you look in the background it looks like the Honda section is pretty lonley to. You gonna call them out. Can you just move on to maybe beating up on Toyota and their accerlartion or rust problems and give our own a little reprieve?

  3. The San Francisco Auto Show which I saw a few days ago was lousy because all of the interesting new car intros are in N.Y., Chicago, Detroit, or L.A. San Francisco gets bupkis for upcoming cars that should have been there.

The Chrysler exhibit was dull as dishwater–nothing worth seeing at all, and the only car a few people looked at was the Dodge Challenger. The Challenger's an oversized POS you can't see out of, so not worth much, either.

Poor Chrysler–when I think back about my 1968 Dodge Charger and how beautiful it was and how Chrysler was then a strong company. Oh, well…..

  4. What is it with you guys? Did you miss the 5-year plan story? The fact that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep have nothing new to show is NOT news to anyone. Well… except you. Almost shameful how out of touch you guys are. But if you can hold on tight – this time next year will be a LOT different. The all new Jeep GC will be out. And so will an all new 300 and Charger. PLUS the minivans, Sebring/Avenger will be extensively updated and improved. And then the FIATS start rolling in. Chrysler's future hasn't been quite this hopeful in quite a few years.

  5. Chrysler is crap^2 now that Fiat controls them. What a friggin joke of a company with runty little minds now. Between the two of them, they still can't make good powertrains.

Uhh that 300 won't be "ALL NEW", it is a refreshed/warmed over version of the current 300.

The Sebring/Avenger can't be saved. They were crap to begin with built on a crap platform with crap powertrains.

    Failure.

  7. I'll believe in fabulous Chrysler cars when I see them. Maybe a Chrysler that's really an Alfa Romeo in drag would be OK, or even a new American vehicle to replace the dreadful Sebring/Avenger horrors.

In the meantime, there are plenty of good cars out there, so nobody has any reason whatsoever to wait for a Chrysler "dream car" which is just as likely to be a POS more than anything else.

  8. Uhh that 300 won't be "ALL NEW", it is a refreshed/warmed over version of the current 300.

–Just like the "all new" BMW 5-series

–And the "all new" Audi A8

–You don't neet to fix what isn't broke!

The 300 outsells every other full size car in the US. They don't want to screw it up, so they're just increasing HP (to over 425) on the SRT & upgrading the IRS and a few other minor touches that the "nit-pickers" pick at — like the interior plastics.

–Just like BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. The marketing people in Germany call it "refinement"

  9. The Sebring/Avenger can't be saved. They were crap to begin with built on a crap platform with crap powertrains

Ever DRIVE one??? I think not. The biggest problem with these (especially the Chrysler) is that they're good enough to invite comparison against cars costing $5000 more. And there's the rub. A $20,000 Sebring is not quite up to the level of a $27,000 Acura or Lexus… But it CLEARLY outperforms & out-classes ANYTHING comparitively priced. They used to compare the $26,000 Convertable to the Camry(Solara) and complian about the $34,000 Toyota's "cowl shake" — that was noticeably absent on the Chrysler. I think ANYBODY doing an ACCURATE "apples-for-apples" "actual sale price" (not "list price") comparison will wind up buying the Chrysler product EVERY time.

Enough with the bigoted emotional BS already. If you're not intimately familar with the model; you just sound ignorant trying to trash it.

  10. Our Own? What could that possibly mean?

It means the one paying FICA Taxes & SUTRA Taxes & property taxes & use taxes & workers comp insurance(tax) to the US Goverment to fund programs for AMERICANS. It means the one donating to non-porfit altruistic organizations IN THE USA It means the one providing JOBS in DESIGN & COMPUTER PROGRAMING & MACHINING & ELECTRONICS & a million (literally) other occupations to people WHO LIVE IN THE USA. It means the one whose highly-paid managers SPEND their big salaries on goods & services IN THE USA. It does NOT mean the ones that merely "assemble" parts here that were designed & made elsewhere; (if they do any work here at all). Where do you think the presidents of Toyota & Honda bought their last yachts from? Think (those yachts) were made in Wisconsin, Florida, California or Texas??? —NOT! THAT"S WHAT IT MEANS– it means the one indirectly providing YOU with a JOB and Highways and Parks and all the things that make life IN THE USA worth living! THAT"S WHAT IT MEANS!

  11. Well, after reading all the other posts I have to say I am optimistic concerning Chrysler. I mean, we know that a European car company buying Chrysler will make all the difference in the world… oh wait there was the M-B tie up a few years ago! How did that work out for the Chrysler brand? There is only one reason I want Chrysler to survive and that is so it can pay back some of the taxpayer money it got that is now propping the company up.

  12. I want Chrysler to survive and that is so it can pay back some of the taxpayer money it got ..

EVER WONDER how much tax money Chrysler has paid TO the US Government over the last 100 years??? How about LAST YEAR ALONE??? …A lot more than what the Feds have given them back; that's for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. C'mon Vince. The whole beating up on Chrysler thing is getting a little played out. The best part about this site is that it's just your random opinions, as evidenced by some of the random crap cars that you seem to love. In that regard, you're quite entitled to your opinion of Chrysler and Dodge cars, but the problem with doing as shamelessly and continuously as you do is that you begin to appear impartial and incapable of seeing any merit in their vehicles whatsoever. They have had some horrible failures, but they serve certain product niches – namely big trucks and muscle cars – quite well. All is not lost with them. Cut 'em just a little slack, at least for the sake of those of us who are tired of watching you take shots at them. Aren't there any Chinese cars out there you can wax hopeful about?
