Acura ADX test drive coming up.

Last Updated:

I just got a new Acura ADX to drive for a week.

As usual, the model I am driving is a top-of-the-line trim. In the ADX case, that means the ADX A-Spec Advance package. Which is quite a mouthful and just means it has everything you can get in an Acura ADX.

That includes leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an amazing Bang & Olufsen 15-speaker, 16-channel audio system.

The new Acura is powered by a 190HP 1.5 Liter Turbo rated at 25/30MPG with AWD. It has a CVT transmission that simulates gear shifts.

While the FWD ADX starts at a pretty reasonable $35,000, my loaded AWD test unit is $44,000. You could save $2000 by going FWD. And another $4000 by picking the A-Spec trim. But you would miss the excellent sound System. And the lumbar support which is somehow only available in the Advance package.

So far, yes, that Soid system is amazing. The car is really quiet. It is roomy but also feels pretty large for something based on the Honda H-RV. The Acura is actually 5 inches longer. I guess the different hood design makes it feel wider as well.

I will be going on a small road trip with it in the next few days and will post a complete review in a few days.

As usual, don’t hesitate if you have any questions.
