Kia EV2.

It looks like, once again, a new production Kia model will look really close to its earlier concept version.
The small Kia EV2 concept was unveiled a few months ago, and it seems the production version will look almost the same. However, the tiny wheels on the driving prototype make it look rather dorky and pretty cheap compared to the concept.
The EV2 was officially described as a new “active urban lifestyle” EV. Which is a fancy way to describe a small city car. It is expected to reach the European market and others by next year.
And something we will not see in North America. Since…you know… it’s a tiny little thing. Kia is on its way to introduce 15 new EVs by 2027. With EVs and Hybrids accounting for over 58% of its production by 2030.
While we already know the Kia EV5 will go on sale in Canada, but will not the US. We’re not really clear on what’s going on with the EV3. It went on sale in July 2024 in Korea, followed by many other markets. It is still expected by many to reach the US “soon”, but that’s pretty vague.
The rumored base price was around or under $35,000. It seems the new $30,000 Nissan Leaf might change things a bit, and Kia could have to revise the EV3 US price to be lower in order to better compete. Strangely, the US version of the EV4 sedan has already been shown officially.
