Future Telluride past illustrations.

Last Updated:

We just saw the first official teasers for the redesigned 2027 Kia Telluride. It will be unveiled next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show. That means will will probably not see any new illustrations, trying to guess what the new SUV would look like.

There have been many of these over the past year. So let’s see what people were thinking before we see the real thing.

The first two are pretty old and probably date back to before any spy shots. And they still show designs heavily influenced by the current generation. That first-generation Kia Telluride still sells over 110,000 units a year, and I think something like these illustrations could have been quite popular as well.

The 3rd and 4th ones seem to show the same design in different trims. The 4th illustration shows what will probably be the more off-road-oriented X-Pro trim Kia loves to push these days. A new trim that lets people think you’re more of an adventurous spirit than you really are. What these off-road tires will see is not dirt, but the road to pick up the kids or getting Lime Chips to Trader Joe’s.

The other 3 illustrations are wrong about the rear of the car. Since we already know it will look much more angular and actually quite generic.

From what we can see on the official teasers on top, it seems the 3rd and 4th illustrations are the closest. As the real thing will lose most of the 1st generation’s personality to become a much more generic boxy shape.

And that might not sit so well with potential buyers.

Which one of these do you think is the most realistic? And which one would you actually consider?
