More on the 407 Coupe
Last Updated:
A nice looking car, but the flat rear end strangly reminds me of some 1970s European car.
Not a good thing…
The interior is almost straight from the sedan.
This “concept” is actually called the Prologue. But it is pretty much the production model.
Too bad for us, it would have been nice to have a European coupe competing against the Accord Coupe and the Solara…

This car is such a disappointment. The 406 couple was a stunner, and most Peugeots were pretty nice looking. But this new quasi-Ferrari front end leaves me cold. Look how much larger the grille surround is than the actuall opening! with just big slabs of black plastic filling in the sides.
That front overhang looks like it came right out of a Detroit design studio circa 1970, while the rear end should have the current Camry couple designers phoning thier lawyers. Take away the red from the interior, and I see……an interior. Nothing special. I’ve been bemoaning Peugeot’s non-presence in the US these past few years, but now I’m beginning to think its just as well.

It’s no better than Chrysler’s attempt to do the same a few years back.
