2010 Chevrolet Equinox

The old new Equinox looks a lot better. Not that the current one looked bad, really.
The big news are also the all new engines. Especially the new 2.4 Liter that is supposed to get 30mpg on the highway.
Which beats pretty much everything else in that cathegory.
We’ll see….

  3. this looks like a 6year old kia sorento with the new chevrolet front. WTF were they thinking????

    are u.s. companies mocking korean car manufacturers?

  4. The side profile is almost lexus like! The front isn’t too bad either, even though the headlights looks like siblings to the Aura. Too bad the rear already looks dated though….I think it’s because the tail lights looks basically like the HHR’s, except upside down.

  5. The interior looks alright. Let’s hope the “plastic painted to look like metal” doesn’t feel like junk, like it does in every other car that uses that material.

  9. This looks pretty nice…Good thing they made this bland and didn’t try to make it stylish so they saved it from looking stupid.

  10. GMC, Cadillac and Saab will get their own versions.
    The Cadillac has the 3.0 Liter standard with the 3.6 liter as an option.
    Saab will use their own engines.
    All will have their own designs and interiors.

    No Pontiac is planned.

  11. I’m not sure the new Equinox will be the new mileage champ yet. Hyundai is moving their 2.4L 4 cyl into the Santa Fe for 2010. Even without DI the Hyundai 4 puts out almost the same power as the Ecotec.

  12. The DI will bring in higher low-end torque so it will move this pig OK…0-60 about 9.6 seconds I reckon. DI helps torque more than HP.

  13. pretty impressive that a 3800 lbs car can get 30 mpg…The smaller honda cr-v cant do that.

    I seriously doubt this Equinox will reach 30 mpg.

  14. I hope they don’t do a Pontiac version. Not that i hate Pontiac, it’s time for them to show they can go past creating multiple versions of every product under a bunch of different brand names.

  16. I really hope this one isnt a resurfaced version of the old one – with new engine options and tranny to get better mileage. The old one drove like a delivery truck.

    I’ll give them credit though, cuz it looks better.

    Serious! GM made the same claims about their so called half-assed hybrids, why should we believe they aren’t lying now?

  22. Having seen it up close and the yet to be seen GMC I can tell you that the vehicle looks excellent. These pictures don’t do it justice. The profile is very MB M class like. Attention to detail and quality is very high. It looks much more upscale than the competiom and the price.
    The 30 mph highway for the 4 cyl is infact a fact. Its confirmed.
