BMW X1 interior

Last Updated:

Just a small shot.
Some kind of a teaser. Being smaller than the X3, that thing should end up being pretty small, while still pricey.
Remember when people thought the 1 series would be the “affordable BMW”?

I don’t really see the point of this car. It seems that lately, BMW is coming out with plenty of stuff nobody was asking for…

  1. From the shot it looks like they fortunately have not adopted the Star Trek Enterprise joystick (5-series, 7-series) for the gearlever on the automatic box, but will be using a decent one as they have done so far on the X3.

I think the way the navigation screen is placed on the X3 looks out of place, and the redesigned placement of the 1-series navigation screen for the current model year (larger screen yes, but disturbing the general look of the dash) looks simply awful. It looks like they’ve integrated the navigation screen on the X1 more nicely into the dash.

I am not yet old enough to value automatics so I have always liked the X3 because the 3-litre 200kw inline-6 can be paired with a manual gearbox (usually suv’s only have stickshift on the base model engine)

Does anyone know whether this combination will carry over for the X1, or will they be downsizing?

So the interior looks very good from this picture, but I hope the production exterior will be prettier than the concept.

  2. No one understands the concept of the X1, Vince. The only people who will like it are the princess daughters of Jersey trash who will undoubtedly drive this around with ungodly large sunglasses and a fake tan.

    Daddy’s girl.

What a joke. I’d buy a CR-V with leather and NAV and save about 15K (and have a more useful vehicle) and not look like a prick driving a BMW.

    hahaha

    Great Comment!!!

  4. The BMW 3-series is the only car that really sells in the USA. At least this will drive properly.

  5. Well you Americans who don’t understand the purpose of this small ute maybe because it’s not build for the US. This car makes allot of sense here in Europe where all don’t have to be the sizes of houses and with lousy MPG and handling!

Here in my home town of Bergen, Norway this is the perfect car for driving in the city as well as on the highways. A little ground clearece and good handling is all what it’s about.
