2026 Honda Passport.
Last Updated:
This is the first photo of the all-new 2026 Honda Passport I have seen without any camouflage.
And it looks better than I thought it would. Honda was able to infuse a bit of personality into the design. And this new Trailsport trim does look the part of an off-road vehicle.
However, the regular versions might not have the hood scoops and other off-road doodads. No specs or info yet, but we already know the new passport will retain its V6 engine, just like the current Pilot.
Here is the official word from Honda, previously published:
- Fortified with a new, more powerful DOHC 3.5-liter V6 engine, high-strength 10-speed automatic transmission, and best-in-class torque vectoring i-VTM4™ all-wheel drive system standard, the all-new Passport TrailSport is the most adventure-ready and capable Honda SUV ever.
- From the red rocks of Moab to the sandy dunes of western Michigan to the muddy trails of Appalachia, Honda engineers are putting the next-generation Honda Passport TrailSport through the very highest level of testing validation on challenging trails all over America.
- The 2026 Passport and Passport TrailSport will be revealed this fall ahead of arrival at dealers early next year.
“This Fall” sounds a lot like the Los Angeles Auto Show to me.
The current Honda Passport came out in 2018. And was basically a shorter 5-seater version of the previous generation Honda Pilot, which dates back to 2015. That means we are talking about a 10-year-old interior by the time the 2026 model comes out.
We can’t really see the interior either but what we can observe through the windshield is already very similar to the Pilot. I expect Honda might have redesigned the bottom part of the dash and that could be it.
Unfortunately, there are no rumors about a hybrid version being available in any trim. Which could really end up being a liability in the next few years…
The rear door window shape makes a lot more sense here than on the Pilot, because it very much resembles the original Isuzu Rodeo-based Passport from the mid 1990s. Unfortunately, there is very little differentiation between Passport and Pilot again.
For those that want more pictures there is a Reddit post with a few more angles. I wish burlapp man would link to sources.

Nice job
Make a 2 door
I love the throwback look to the original SUVs that caught the American imagination. It reminds me not only of the original Isuzu based Passport but the early 90s 4 Runner and Pathfinder. Nice way to differentiate it stylistically from the Pilot and the horde of other SUVs on the market.
