2028 Ford F-150 Lobo.

Ford recently released the “Lobo” trim of the popular Maverick pickup. Why not imagine what a next-generation Ford F-150 Lobo could look like?
The next-generation Ford F-150 pickup was, until recently, scheduled to start production in 2027. This has been pushed back to April 2028. Which is not great news for the company’s top money-maker. The delay is of course probably due to the total uncertainty of the auto industry these days. While the F-150 is produced in the US, many of its parts could be taxed with huge tariffs.
The next generation F-150 Lightning has also been delayed by about a year.
The current 14th generation came out in 2021. Which was still heavily based on the previous generation dating back to 2015, even if all body panels have been redesigned. That doesn’t really matter much in the full-sized truck world since they’ve basically been looking the same for decades anyway. And no one seems to mind.
An all-new Ford EV pickup is also due to come out in 2027. It will be the size of a Ford Ranger and is described as ” a game changer. An incredible package and consumer technology for a segment we know well”.
Ford just introduced the new Lobo trim for the Maverick. It is slightly lowered by 1.2 inches compared to the regular Maverick. I think a Lobo version of Ford’s next-generation F-150 could be a good idea. If the Maverick Lobo ends up being successful.
A “street Style” large pickup at a more reasonable price than the current special models like the Raptor or Tremor trims.
