New AUDI EV for 2026..
Last Updated:

Audi will be launching a brand new entry-level EV next year. or about a year ahead of schedule.
The company’s CEO already describes it as “a wonderful, unique independent vehicle concept.” Which is the usual PR BS we get from car company execs. I wouldn’t expect anything really unique from Audi these days. It might end up looking more modern than the current crop of uninspired designs, but you can probably bet it won’t look “unique”.
The CEO also mentioned Audi has not yet decided what platform to use for the new model. Again, that seems very unlikely for a new model coming out in just about a year from now.
The new small Audi EV will probably use the same platform as the upcoming new VW ID.2All. The VW Concept came out 2 years ago, and we haven’t heard much from it since. Except for a GTI concept based on it. That model will be larger than the more recent small ID.Every1 concept we just saw. Unlike the 20,000 Euros ID.Every1, the larger ID.2All is rumored to start at around 24,000 Euros. Or around $28,000.
Currently, Audi’s cheapest EV in the US is the Q4 starting at $50,000. Which leaves plenty of room for something cheaper, and yet more expensive than the VW version. Something like this will probably compete directly against the popular Volvo EX30.
The illustration above shows what this new entry-level Audi EV could look like.
