2026 Lexus RZ (US).

Last Updated:

The revised Lexus RZ was introduced a few weeks ago in Europe. Now we have more news about the US version.

As you can see, it seems Lexus is very happy with the way the RZ looks, and they didn’t appear to have changed anything inside and out. At least visually. (However, more photos to come very soon.) Unlike the Toyota BZ, which got an all-new front end as well as a mostly new interior.

I think the Lexus RZ is one of these cars that looks rather “meh” in photos and much better in real life. The interior is also very nice. Although it’s hard to tell from these horribly drab official photos from Lexus. Showing what looks like the base trim in grey. (why???)

The changes for 2026 are the same as its Toyota cousin. It gets faster charging, more power, and longer ranges. The base FWD model has 20Hpp more for a total of 221 hp. Its range is now 300 miles. Which is a huge improvement.

The AWD trim has the same 308HP with a much better 260 miles of range. A 40-mile improvement. Just like all 2026 Toyota EVs, the new Lexus RX comes with a new NACS plug. And again, just like the new Toyotas, there is a more powerful trim available. With 402HP.

The new steer-by-wire system and the stupid yoke steering wheel we saw at the European unveiling are not coming to the US. Which will probably not be missed by any potential Lexus buyers.

A few months ago, Lexus was offering an amazing $299 a month lease with $0 due at signing. Now that the RZ is much more desirable than ever, such a lease deal would really be fantastic if it came back…
