2027 Audi Q2 E-Tron.

Audi is very hard at work on a brand new entry model, the future Q2 E-Tron compact EV.

The new small EV will probably share its platform with the upcoming VW ID-Cross we just saw a few weeks ago. The Audi version will, of course, try to be a bit more upscale so the luxury brand can charge more for it.

So far, the general shape looks pretty sleek and modern. However, that ghastly huge fake Audi grille is still there. Or is it? It could also be part of a clever camouflage.

A car like this is a great idea for the brand in Europe. Where they’ve been selling smaller models for decades. Like the Audi 50, which was the brand’s version of the original VW Polo. Or the futuristic A2 from 2000 to 2005. These were never sold in the US, and something like the car pictured above will probably not make it over here either.

And that will be too bad…
