Hyundai had previously mentioned that all its upcoming models would try to be different from each other. However, it seems the all-new redesigned little Venue is trying very hard to look a lot like the much larger new Hyundai Palisade.
And it’s really not a good look on something that small. The poor Venue cannot seem to find a good look. The current version of the Hyundai Venue was always way too busy, especially, again, for something that small. And now we have this rather obnoxious design that is trying so hard to be something more than it is.
That giant new front end can only be described as “ghastly”. And the rest of the car seems to be quite generic. As if all the design budget went up front, and there wasn’t much left for the rest of the car.
The interior is, of course, an improvement over the current model. Which isn’t very hard to do.
The current generation has a 1.6 Liter engine with 121 in the US. Overseas, the next generation will offer a 1.0 Liter, a 1.0 Liter Turbo, or a 1.2-liter. So far, no hybrid has been announced.
Prices are rumored to stay close to the current $20,500 starting price. For that money, would could also get a Nissan Kicks, which, in my opinion, looks far better than this…
I wish manufacturers wasnt too caught up with the dual screen and went back to putting a cluster behind the steering wheel again.
