Cadillac Vistiq alternative.
Last Updated:

It seems the current Cadillac lineup of electric SUVs is getting crowded with many similar designs. It looks like everything is a version of the Cadillac Lyriq that came out a few years ago.
I was really hoping the new Cadillac Vistiq would look better than it does. Or at least have a bit more personality. Instead of trying something a bit new or more modern. GM decided to make it look more like a cross between a larger and more boring version of the older Lyriq, and the Escalade.
The new Vistiq ends up looking very bland, which is a shame. At a starting price of around $81,000, it competes with many other 7-seater SUVs. Most with much more personality.
The Rivian R1S currently starts at even less than the Vistiq, with a $77,000 base price. The new Volvo EX90 is a bit more at $81,300. But also looks much more modern. A new base model for the Lucid Gravity is also coming for around $81,000. And that could pretty much destroy the Vistiq. Depending on how well equipped the new, less expensive trim will be.
The illustration above doesn’t show something too crazy. But something that at least tries not to look like a big Lyriq or a small Escalade. It just tries to look like its own model. Something with its own personality, while still fitting in the current Cadillac family.
Would that be so wrong?
Honestly I think this is more derivative than the actual Vistiq.
