New 2027 Honda Models.

This illustration from Japan is trying to show us what is coming from Honda for 2027.

Except for the yellow car on the right, the other two seem to be mid-cycle refreshes of the current Civic and Accord. Which is not what we have head to far.

We are supposed to see a new Honda Civic for 2027. But that will be a new design, not just a new front end. A new generation Accord is still in the cards as well, a few months or a year later. The yellow car seems to show the next-generation Honda Fit. A car that isn’t sold in the US anymore and has mostly been replaced by the H-RV.

That new front-end design looks heavily inspired by Honda’s new 0-Series EV that is coming out very soon. However, the Civic, Accord, and Fit are not scheduled to become EVs for their next generations. However, they will probably offer a hybrid powertrain as standard. Similar to what Toyota has been doing for the past few years with many of its new models.

The illustration above basically shows a worst-case scenario. With cars that just look exactly like the current ones. Except for the 0 Series front end. And a new Fit that looks like it could have come out 20 years ago.

I am sure Honda can, and will, do much better than this.

  1. if the Accord looked like this I think it would sell better…the current model is just…BLAND.

  2. I like it – better than current look on Civic – brings cohesiveness across the line up – somewhat unique too

  3. I’m a ride or die Honda guy, but that “Look” is unfortunate. Like Audi, where every model is easily identifiable as an Audi, but you have trouble figuring out what model of Audi. At least I have trouble.

  4. I have no doubt that the 2027 new models (cars, not the V6 light trucks) will be built on the current platform, with updated styling and drivetrains. But still similar enough to see the same bones.

  5. These are just bland. And the 0-series are 80s retro. Nobody wants that. Try again, Honda designers.

  6. Probably the localized Honda Inspire (which is often the U.S. Accord) and local Civic (again, as I thought it left).

  7. Honda finally got rid of terrible designers like Dave Marek and Michelle Christensen responsible for the Acura looks including the bucktooth shield. Those two were all flash and gimmick. Now they have old Japanese men that look to be straight from the loser IT department designing their cars. They’re all dull as dirt and awful. They’re not making cars for the Marvel Universe at least, but they have no sense of creativity. Find a middle ground, Honda. Maybe hire someone that isn’t geriatric.

  8. I dig the squared-off headlights, but like the current Hyundai Sonata, it doesn’t match the rest of the design which has smoother, round shapes. It looks disjointed unless they square off the character lines, quarter panels, and roof.
