Honda Prelude Test Drive Video.

I was very fortunate enough to drive a brand new Honda Prelude for a whole week. I was really looking forward to it and was very curious.

Please watch the very short video above describing my experience with Honda’s new 2 door coupe. As everyone knows, the Prelude is now a Hybrid. And in the end, ends up feeling more like a modern Prius than anything else. It looks pretty nice and really stands out in a sea of Crossovers and SUVs everywhere, which is great.

But it is quite overpriced. For almost $10,000 more than a comparable loaded Honda Civic Hybrid, you actually get less. No sunroof, no power seat etc… And the ride isn’t much sportier than the Civic. However, it does look much better. At least until a new Civic comes out, which should be pretty soon.

It’s an interesting car and I’m glad Honda offers a 2 door coupe.

Tell me what you think of the new Prelude. As anyone here actually driven one? Or is considering getting one?

  1. The older current prius already looks more modern than this and is likely getting an exterior refresh for 2027 after it was delayed for 2026.

  2. I was initially very interested. But nearly all of the reviews are saying that it’s way overpriced. So I’ll be waiting for the new Toyota Celica that is expected for sometime next year.

  3. I avoid boarding the good ole SS Reality at every chance. Having said that, its still no bueno (as they say in Poughkeepsie).

  4. You buy a 2 door to go fast. Not this one. Unless they up the power, it will go away soon.

  5. It looks sharp, except for the rather hideous Toyota inspired front end. If it doesn’t offer anything more than what you can get on a Civic, then what’s the point exactly? Looks can only take you so far. There needs to be something of substance to back it up (and justify the price premium).
