2029 Honda Element Video

This very short video shows what the next-generation Honda Element could look like. As a retro “homage” to the original one.

The next generation will be quite different from the old one, since it will be a hybrid. And it will probably be offered with an AWD option. Which could very well lead to an unavoidable TrailSport option.

Many car nerds have shed tears over the death of the Honda Element. Yet sales dropped to just 11,534 units in 2013. From a high of 56, 262 in 2005. People just didn’t buy them anymore. Which is understandable since it was getting quite old, with no replacement planned.

A new Hybrid Element based on Honda’s upcoming all-new Hybrid platform could get around 50MPG and that would probably really be attractive to many. However, by 2029, that won’t be such a feat. A few EREVs will be around. Maybe a few more PEHVs, and even EVs. A “regular” hybrid could be a bit of “old news” by the time it actually goes on sale.
