2019 Jeep Grand Commander
Last Updated:
These are the first pictures I have seen of the all new Jeep Grand Commander interior.
Showing the 3 rows of seats.
And… It looks like a regular “current Jeep interior”. Just with 2 more seats in the back.
It now feels like a low roof minivan.
As mentioned earlier, power comes from the new 2.0 Liter Turbo.
And, it is still only available in China. For now…
I like it. It's just too bad this is way too small for a 7 passenger. It's barely larger than a Grand Cherokee. If FCA/Jeep wants to sell a 3-row 7 passenger Jeep in the U.S. they will need something much larger than this thing.
Doubt it "feels like a low-roof minivan" in real life. Just looks that way in pics because the box is a lot longer than before, but they didn't make it 25% taller in the process (because that would be kinda dumb).
Looks very nice!
Jeep doesn't need any more car-based FWD crossovers diluting the brand. What's next, a minivan?
Dodge Journey replacement anyone?

Dodge Journey replacement anyone?"
YES! Why didn't I think of that? This would be a perfect replacement for the Journey.
It would make a good Dodge Journey replacement since it's about the same size, though the GC wheelbase is slightly shorter.
The interior looks cheep and uninspired. Fine if it was a KIA or Hyundai. But Jeep should be something special, and this isn't. I actually think the VW Atlas looks better.
The interior looks nothing like any current Jeep. I honestly wonder what you see sometimes.
Speaking of the VW Atlas, both the Atlas and Tiguan would make better looking Jeeps than this thing.
