Next-generation Chrysler 300 news.
Last Updated:

Even though we have been mentioning a possible new generation Chrysler 300 before, there seems to be a little bit more news about it lately.
The Chrysler Halcyon concept was supposed to give us a glimpse of future Chrysler models. However, the super-futuristic design really prevents Stelantis from turning it into an actual production car. Unlike the Dodge Charger concept, Jeep Recon and Wagoneer S concepts. Which were all previews of upcoming production models.
However, CEO Chris Feuell is still mentioning the Halcyon as a preview of Chrysler’s future, somehow. We have been told a brand new Chrysler SUV is coming. It seems it has now been pushed from later this year to early 2027. With a reveal in 2026. The upcoming Alfa-Romeo Stelvio SUV has also been delayed. Mostly due to the fact that Stellantis wants to add a Hybrid version at launch, on top of the EV model. This is probably what is happening as well with the new Chrysler SUV. A new model related to the EV-only Jeep Wagoneer S and future Stelvio.
We also know a revised Chrysler Pacifica is coming soon, with an EV later. Chris Feuell mentioned a few weeks ago that a production version of the Halcyon as a sedan was still possible. After the new SUV.
Now, we are told a new model “Inspired by the Halcyon” is still on the table. “I believe the car segment is ripe for growth and resurgence”.
While the Halcyon was a striking design, it might be too far out as a Chrysler 300 replacement. The name also means nothing to Chryelr fans or buyers (Whoever they might be..). A new Chrysler 300 is what they really need after the SUV. “Inspired” by Halcyon would also be great. However, a spaceship on 4 wheels might not be what the brand needs anytime soon.
The image above shows what a new, sleeker Chrysler 300, available as a Hybrid or EV and “vaguely” inspired by the halcyon could look like.
CHRYSLER NEEDS NEW FRESH PRODUCT, WE NEED PRODUCTS WITH CLASS, PRIDE, CACHE. BUILD WITH TOP QUALITY AND MATERIALS, WE NEED AN ALL NEW 300, AN ALL NEW MINIVAN, WE NEED THE NEW YORKER AND THE IMPERIAL BACK.
WE NEED PRODUCTS WITH OUTSTANDING DESIGN, AND CLASS.
FFS do SOMETHING Chyrsler.
First of all, Stellantis should just be called Chrysler. Holy hell what were they thinking.
Chrysler’s lineup should include a less expensive Lexus RX competitor. Then do a new 300 sedan that’s updated in all the same ways that Rolls-Royce and Bentley have updated in the 20 years since they copied them last.
The Pacifica should soldier on with a similar formula, but also enhance it with an ultra luxury van that’s expensive—that’s what they should’ve done instead of the Wagoneers. People would buy an $80,000 minivan that has presence. Make it blocky like a Cullinan.
…and finally, a new PT Cruiser. Not a new PT itself, but a tiny version of this Cullinan copycat van thing. Make it not have sliding doors, small SUV thing sized like an MB GLB.
Chrysler should go back to names, not numbers. 200 and 300 series hit when Mercedes owned it. Chrysler needs to start with a new minivan, medium SUV, and a slightly taller elegant midsize sedan – all on common platforms that can utilize different powertrain options: hybrid, ICE or BEV. If they can revive their company with these three, then branch out.
It’s sad that the premiere nameplate went from elegant bold automobiles to a minivan company.
See this is why Chrysler is seconds from fallingg off the planet. We all know Chrysler don’t hav3 anything new. Just go under already.
the 300C needs to return to the letter series. Chrysler do the right thing and name the car 300N. The Germans at Mercedes named the letter car 300C after redesigning the 300M, big mistake
Chrysler has a lot of work ahead if it is to salvage what is left of it’s reputation. Thanks to such bombs as the original Pacifica, the Crossfire, the Sebring, the 200 &the infamous PT Cruiser Chrysler ‘s reputation as a solid desiriable well engineered &built auto went into the toliet. The other probem is that Chrysler is a forgotten brand.I doubt that with sedans such as Camry &Accord that a “new” Chrysler would attract that many buyers.Chrysler has to get it right all the way.A new model has to be on point, reliable, classy affordable and no cutting quality with cheaply sourced parts.Chrysler needs to come home along with Dodge Ram &Jeep. My hope is that a consortium of investors buy CDRJ from Stellantis & restore thier reputations. There have been far too many years where CDRJ has been on the bottom of reliability ratings. It is better to leave that distinction to such companies as Ford ,Alfa Romeo & VW etc.
About the only thing Stellantis has kind of right is the RAM truck.
There are some gorgeous Peaugot models, competing directly with Merc. Please just badge engineer some high end models to US standards. EVs and hybrids to come are great, but this brand is in the grave. Pull it out!
It would have been so easy to rebody the new 4-door Charger as a new 300 but nobody at this company has any idea what the hell they are doing.
EV-only Jeep Wagoneer S seems to be, unfortunately, a sales bomb just like the Charger EV. None of these models have been seen on the road. Perhaps the Recon EV will be the company’s 3rd bomb if it goes on sale. People might opt for the new Cherokee as it might come with a hybrid. And with the constant delay of a new Chrysler product, people might walk away from the entire division altogether.
I am so sick of you always doing concept and no car
I’m on my 4th 300 .I have been waiting for the imperial since the concept
Now you have come around with another discussion to upset me again.to wait for another heart break
Bring back the designer of the first 300C to make a new 300!
Chrysler use to be known for power, distinction and reliability when we had the models in the 60s and 70s. Yes, we have technology now but good old American Muscle needs to return to the streets. Plus we need the elegant, sophisticated and stylish higher ends we also had. You could ride in style with the power under the hood. The smooth designs of the cars attracted all walks of life. C’mon engineering morons, y’all can do better than that or maybe they need to fire all the engineers and start fresh. Because obviously someone there and up the chain has it set to destroy brand that has been here for over a century. But personally, I think they all need pink slips. Prove a point to Americans you’re committed to keeping American icons like Chrysler alive. Same for Dodge and Jeep. I’m not even going to start on them. It’s just sad there’s no vision mixed with old school elegance.
All these Lincoln proposals are sickening…
Our family has had Chryslers since the 60s or 70s. My fav being the 2013 year. Of elegant and power. Traded for newer 2018 300c and comfort and technology. Please come back with this style or similar. Before 2031 at least.
Or Sebring layout and power gas.
Bring back the barracuda
