2016 Acura NSX

Finally!
The real thing.
So now, this is almost not news anymore since it is basically the same design we have seen since 2012.
That’s 3 years.
Sure, it does look nice. But not new. And not original.
I am sure it is a great car to drive. It has a new V6 combined with 3 electric motors (!), and they are claiming over 550HP.
All that good stuff.
But I have to say that, at least on these pictures, the interior looks pretty plasticky and rather cheap.
Of course, the assy red leather doesn’t help. (That always makes everything look like plastic anyway…)
And then, there is the price. “Around $150 000”.
Yes. Which is over $30 000 more than the Audi R8 and about $20 000 more than the Porsche 911 GT3. Even Aston Martin has a cheaper model! (By almost $20 000!)
Insane. (Now that interior looks REALLY cheap)
I cannot really imagine people getting the Acura instead.
This will only be for the few who want to drive “something different”.
No matter how good it is, a Honda sports car priced above a high end Porsche will have a very tough time and extremely limited appeal.
Good luck!
I completely agree. Although apples to oranges platform wise, should be priced alongside the gt-r. 2 halo vehicles for mass market nameplates. Priced too high it could suffer the same, slow sales fate of Viper. Besides, I want one, but not over 100k. Just makes the wait for a prenowned another year longer.
There's just something wrong with the design people's heads at Acura. Not to mention who ever set the price point on this.
Gorgeous. It will be a hit. Good for Acura.
perfection, i want one. I also want a new loaded Nissan Titan XD wow, no truck talk here vincenzo? That truck is awesome!!!!!
Vince, Gotta agree with you on this one. Nothing about this car's design from Honda seems compelling or original. It certainly won't keep the likes of Porsche up at night nor take a bite out of the supercar market. Maybe the cupboard at Honda is really bare. 150 large? I think not.
I don't think the design is bad, but there never should have been a concept; just a few leaks and spy photos. As it is, the excitement has worn off (how much longer till they go on sale anyhow?), and it's priced way, way too high for an Acura.
I agree with the comment this car has been shown that's it's not anything to get excited about. I think it's performance will have to be what blows people minds. It's funny that people underestimate it like they did the first one and that blow everyone's mind. Can't wait to see the convertible or maybe targa that will come out.
550hp w/ 3 electric motor's instantaneous torque (one between the transmission and the motor), i say we wait and see what the performance results are like. Honda has been able to achieve amazing things, but with the Corvette C7 Z06 performing the way it does… Honda has to be offering 50grand worth of something else even if it can match that.
What other design would it be that Honda showcased in a movie and at auto shows??? Sometimes you write the most unintelligent statements.
Very derivative and uninteresting. It's certainly not ugly. Though a five year old R8 is much more seductive. And the new Ford GT totally stole the NSXs' thunder. I feel really bad for the Honda folks. This was supposed to be their big launch. And it fell flat.

Guess you were raised under power lines. Maybe I'll try your language…
Hahahahaha…. the NSX got it's lunch eaten by the GT… lolololol!!!
Corvette is a much better design. And for the $150k I could have both a Viper and a POWER WAGON. …instead of a simple Honda.
