2024 Mini Cooper SE: new spy shots…
Last Updated:
The next-generation electric Mini is still testing under heavy camouflage. Even though we have already seen almost the whole thing last year.
Especially the weirdo triangular tail lights they are still trying to hide.
I think the big circular screen could end up looking really cool and kind of retro.
I wonder if they will really use the shape to its advantage. The current one is just a rectangular screen within a circle housing.
The current Cooper Se has been getting great reviews. The only problem seems to be the 114 miles. At least for those considering going out of town once in a while. Something over 200 miles with faster charging would really be great. (Although 0 to 80% in 35 minutes with a 50kW charger is really not bad)
So far I’ve heard the next SE will only be built in China. While the next-generation ICE models will still come from Europe. The new SE will be slightly shorter than the current car, with a longer wheelbase for a roomier interior. It will use an all-new dedicated EV platform.
This is the first time I've seen a Mini hardtop with a rear-hinged hood. How many generations has the front-hinged clamshell been gone?
