Honda Fit for the US market.

Last Updated:

The sketch (orange), is the only official info about the US Fit.
The car has been sold in Europe and Japan for years, and is due for a redesign.
But from this illustration, it looks like the US Fit is just the same old one.
In 2 door. With a new front and ugly side skirts.

Not sure if the 4 door will come over as well when the car goes on sale here next spring.

  1. Considering how most artist renderings are overdone, I’d have to agree that it looks exactly like the Euro spec’ed Fit.

If that’s the case, Honda is up for some disappointment because this car will not generate the kind of excitement Scion did when it came out.

  2. This one is not getting me excited in the least. Its WAY too tall. Personally, I’d like to see a small car that doesn’t A) try to be upscale and B) maximize every god damn cubic inch of space and look like a box on wheels, ( I must admit the xB is cool because it literally is a box on wheels, I repect the bluntness of Toyota on that one)

  3. I saw Honda FITs everywhere when visiting Japan last month. They looked like sensible small cars that should be successful–especially if gas prices stay firm.

That the FIT/JAZZ has been popular in its home market and elsewhere for a number of years is a good thing because the car will be fully perfected by the time it comes here. Should therefore have an excellent service record.

  4. have you ever driven a honda? sounds like a weird question but they haven’t even figured out the automatic transmission yet. Their engineers might think it’s actually called the automatic transition because it’s always in transition hunting for the right gear.Honda’s are the most overrated.

    DERRRRRRRR CAMPDOODLES!!!!!1111ONE

  6. Well, I have driven a Honda because I own an ’04 Accord 4 cyl. with A/T and it does NOT hunt among gears at all. There’s a grade-logic feature that prevents hunting and it works well.

I don’t know what Honda you’re talking about, but it’s not mine!

  7. your lucky, or maybe you have never driven a proper shifting vehicle and think it’s normal. Ahhhh!! Ignorance must be bliss!

  8. to Sgt Beaver, guess you where pretty well mislead, misinformed and generally do a poor job in picking the cars of the future. because the Fit is everywhere in the states today.

  9. This is a pic of the federalized US market fit from the dealer convention a few months back.https://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b198/tjts3/USmarketFIT.jpgAs you can see its identical to the car sold in the rest of the world for the last 5 years. The US car has longer bumpers front and rear, no blinker on the door mirror or fender, orange reflector on the side of the headlight and thats about it. The only drive train will be 1.5 litre VTEC engine with CVT. No manual trasmission.Justin
