2007 Honda CRV
Last Updated:
I think it looks really nice.
Much more upscale and refined than the RAV4.
I haven’t seen the interior, but the Toyota’s interior is very plasticky.
It wouldn’t be that hard for Honda to come up with something better.

looks fine from the side, but terrible from the front
It looks nicer in this color, but I think the Suzuki Grand Vitara is a better buy for the money amd the company will double in popularity very quickly.
The Suzuki does have a very nice interior…
Almost looks like a Chrysler Pacifica. except for the terrible front end. If they had made the bottom air intake line up with the inside end of the headlight line, it would look worlds better.
“The Suzuki Grand Vitara is a better buy for the money amd the company will double in popularity very quickly.”
Don’t hold your breath. Suzuki has been at this for quite a while.
I would like to ask you how’d the hell did you get to save these pictures? I had the site to these pictures but they won’t let me save them!
I commented earlier about this having accord like headlamps and a retarded looking front grille. Well these pics confirm my statement. That grille had better be changed for the next facelift… or more like face-push down. The grille needs to be part of the bumper! For goodness sakes it’s so UGLY!
X90 tail lights + Mercedes R-Class window line + X5 side profile…
something funky about the front grill though… Otherwise, it’s pretty sweet
That front is definetly funky. It might kill the otherwise good design.
Its interesting to think that this will most liekyl compete in some way against the ford edge. I wonder which one has the goods?
That is one ugly vehicle. What is the deal with the front facia?
Pontiac makes the Aztek and gets destroyed by critics. Honda ruins a decent looking car and Honda fans/lemmings can’t see that the Emperor has no clothes.

It’s called screen capture. Prnt Scrn/f14. This will put the screen contents into the clipboard. Paste into your graphic program.
Thank you to the comment above!
That thing has more chins than Michael Moore.

Are you kidding? the Aztek didn’t look good from ANY angle. I must admit, the final photos look better than what I was expecting from the spyshots with the tape.
this is pure crap
and by the wauuy. the asteck was the best in class.
the leftist auto press killed it because it wasn’t japanese (bastards)
that’s all
Douchebag Jones is nuts. Here’s a guy who lives in Modesto and drives a Monte Carlo–a two-time loser if there ever was one.

So, maybe it has more chins than a Chinese phone book?
Well, the front is weird, but not really bad. And the rest of it is much improved over the current CRV, I think.
The RAV4 with the stupid tire hanging off the back and its ugly “D” pillar is no rose. I think the CRV looks better and I’ll bet it drives superbly–just like all Hondas.
If I were in the market for a small SUV-type vehicle, I’d give the new CRV a serious look.
The current CR-V’s interior is also pretty “plasticky”, not to mention pretty ugly too.
Don’t expect a great interior in this, as it’s an entry-level CRV.
As for the exterior design, I really don’t like it. It looks like some sort of Chinese knockoff of the current CR-V. In other words, the current CR-V looks better, IMO.
A very soft design. I admit that the previous CRV’s were not that aggressive…but this one lacks any feeling of ‘truck-ness’. I prefer the exterior design of the RAV4.
That front end is ghastly. I’m sure its going to be facelifted in a hurry though, I predict after only one or two model years. At that point, they’ll turn it into something a lot more conventional.
Even then, it won’t be any match for the Rav4. Yeah, Hondas can be nice, but drivers of this car are going to be choking on the exhaust from the Rav’s 268 hp 6 cylinder.
Vince could you PLEASE share one bit of information on the 2007 CR-V for us? Do you know if the spare tire will be a ‘FULL’ spare or a ‘DOUGHNUT’, and will it be mounted underneath outside or inside the cargo area?
I am going to bet my bottom dollar that the Real Version of the 2007 CR-V, that will be built and sold in Japan will look 100% BETTER than this Amercian Built ATROCITY!!!!!!
It looks nicer in this color, but I think the Suzuki Grand Vitara is a better buy for the money amd the company will double in popularity very quickly.
The Suzuki is a very handsome vehicle with a tasteful interior, but for folks like me, it is saddled with RWD and a truckish platform. I prefer FWD and a car-like chassis. Also, the CR-V beats the pants off the Grand Viagra when it comes to reliability.
Yeah, Hondas can be nice, but drivers of this car are going to be choking on the exhaust from the Rav’s 268 hp 6 cylinder.
The ones choking will be those breathing the extra exhaust fumes from the extra buring of fossil fuel.
Ugly ugly ugly, at least they keep the Volvo back lights.
Just as I thought – it’s still fugly. CR-V – Crappy Revolting-Vehicle.
As with quite a few cars, I like it for trying to keep its unique-ness-but it shows a lot more US-Accord style than it does Euro-Accord or (either) civic-style – the looks leave me confused.
Can I get the one they had taped-up to hide the front end and make the rear window look square?
The designers definitely were stoned when the penned this one!
If you look at from front to back at the side(shape alone) it looks like the Subaru B9 Tribeca.
FROM A SIDE VIEW, TO ME AND MY WIFE, THE NEW CRV LOOKS LIKE A BMW X3. It also looks like the Volvo XC90.
I really like the style.
AGAIN, I LOVE IT IN SILVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Windows tinted, Fog lights and leather.
I hope the audio system besides been able to play MP3 files, have a audio jack like the current Civic EX, to plug in a portable MP3 player.
Come on guys, let’s work on getting those interior shots.
I like the front. But somehow it looks like Domo Ari Otto, Mr. Robotto.
I am being serius, and no, I am not smoking anything!
It looks a little bit like a robot.
Domo Ari Otto, Mr. Robotto
I like it.
Thanks GOd they put colored bumpers throughout, even in the LX low end model.
Imagine how much UGLIER it would be!
Glad I own a 2nd gen CRV, and not this franken-monster. I do think a facelift in 2008/09 will take care of the grill — but forget about getting a squared off window in the rear, ever.
Leftist automotive press!!
LOL
You owe me a new keyboard Douchebag!!
You use the same logic as your Fundamentalist Christian Nazi Republican breatheran.
Every board needs a troll. For this board, you are that troll. Do you know it?
Wow, that is ugly! The front looks like that Sangyang SUV and the back looks like the Saab’s version of the Chevy Trailblazer.. 9-? No wonder I don’t see as many new Hondas on the road nowadays…
Oh my god! The front end looks like it has a hair lip. Also the rounding of the far back window gives it an odd profile.
eww…yeah…i said eww… the front end is just…well…ugly.
anonsymous 11:18 your pathetic….
you cant even post your own name for the wole world to see..
your just some stupid greenie like al gore wacking off to yuyr crv
As if douchebagjones is your God-given name. Pahleeze, fool.
My complete name is James Pullman Young. And I support environmental efforts because I’m a true American. Anyone who doesn’t isn’t. I’ll consider your sorry ass to be anti-American just by your posts alone. Phoney patriots are as useful as tits on a bull.
Leftist automotive press!
That’s an oxymoron.
Now, back to the CR-V, kudos to Honda for a fine job maturing it’s CR-V. I’d rather drive a Mazda3, but kudos for not creating another GM/Ford/Chrysler behemoth.
I think if Honda had squared off the rear side window, it would look more like an evolution of the current CRV, more recognizable as a CRV. That’s usually a good thing, but of course we saw what happened when Chevy decided to evolutionize their Malibu instead of revolutionize it.
Well, what do you know, with this lighter color we can see that the bottom edge is indeed cheap black plastic, just like the guy in the other post was contending.
And what’s with combining the maniacal grinning grill with wide open, wild-eyed headlights? Are they trying to make the poor thing look funky AND crazy?
And once again, the curve in the rear side window is pure 1962ish Ford and/or Chevy. Eww…
I really hate to say this….I hate this thing. What a disaster!
Jac
A more angular rear side window would look too much like the Acura RDX which is the CRV in drag.
If the rounded side window bothers anyone, the Acura’s more conventional look is an alternative–at a higher price and with more goodies, of course.
i think i just vomited
Volvo called. They want their tail lamps back. Too bad. the rear is the only attractive angle of this trucklet.
I’m in the minority here, but I like it. It looks much nicer in a light color.
The 1st and 2nd generation CR-V’s sold here in North America were exactly the same models they sold in Europe, Asia and Australia! Now, low and behold the 3rd generation CR-V that will be sold here in North America will not only be manufactured here, but will also be different than the design the rest of the world will get! That UGLY FRONT END was designed EXCLUSIVELY for the American market by American designers at HONDA of North America! Once these intellectually humble designers realize their HUGE MISTAKE, maybe we will get the front end the rest of the world will get by 2009! Leave it to some stupid American designers to completely BOTCH an otherwise solid Japanese Design!!!!
I drive a 2005 Honda CRV. If this thing comes to market, I’m trading in for a Subaru. Honda, how could you?
Wondering if all these harsh comments on the exterior would delay the launching of the 2007 model in N. America.
