2007 Toyota Corolla.

Again, let’s hope this is the “Japan only” sedan.
And not the model we’ll see here….

  1. I just got back from 3 weeks in Italy. And one thing I noticed was how nice the Corolla was there. 5 door hatch with nice Euro lines, looking like a close relative of the Audi A3.

Oh yeah, and all the Fords are way nicer over there too.

    I just don’t understand car companies sometimes…

  2. Clean style, but bland. There’s no way the Toyota pictured can favorably compete with the new Honda Civic–at least among youthful car buyers.

I’d bet that’s not the Corolla we’ll see in the U.S.

  3. The rear lights are beginning to look a bit more realistic, with subsequent illustrations, compared to the “real” B/W photos you recently posted Vince, where the taillights were solid, with no detail or elements within.

This is likely one of the many JDM Corolla variants, and I doubt that illustration is fully accurate.

  4. Initially I was afraid that this was going to be the new Corolla but judging from what Toyota has done for the new Camry, I feel that this can’t be it.

  5. If this is the Corolla, I am wondering how much business they will end up(unintentionally) sending over to Hyundai/Kia with their 07 Spectra/Elantra?
    I’d consider either of those.

  6. the first poster who siad’you are getting sleepy”…LOL…. loking at this, yep šŸ˜‰

Maybe Toyota should have Hyundai do an overhaul for them, lol šŸ˜‰

  7. The final nail in the coffin, with regards to this illustration, as well as the so-called “real life pics” posted recently on this site, is the fact that the rear bumpers are still of the “old” design; the rear bumper is still square shaped, and cumbersome.

The rear bumper in no way posesses any of Toyota’s “Vibrant Clarity” styling DNA, and the bumper has no cues compared with the rear bumpers of the new Yaris and Camry.

This goes totally against what insiders have said, as well as even what Toyota has said, with regards to the new Corolla.

  8. Don’t you know Corolla is still the best sellin car in Japan after 5-year release? So, now sudden shift of style is require.

  9. poor toyo defender, GM also has best sellers, and by the way, cocaine is the best selling drug, it doesen’t mean that they are good for you, my dear poor toyo geek.

  11. Big yawn. What I understand is that the Japan-market model will remain under 1,700 mm. The export models, which may include the US (I am not sure on this), will exceed that width. The same strategy was employed for the early 1990sā€™ Camry.
