  1. This is such a no brainer for Saturn to import Opels that I can’t believe anyone in GM didn’t think of this years ago.

Had this been done earlier, Opels would have been Oldsmobiles….

I do lament the loss of the cheap reliable GM products. Remember when Saturn came out they were small and reliable and cheap to build & maintain. These Opels are high class stuff, not the low priced models Saturn originally were.

I sure hope GM doesn’t forget that there’s an exploding A & B segment market in the US…..

  2. anybody else thimk that the tail lamps make the car look childish or “less than upscale” Kinda down market, Kiahyundaiville.

Sort of. The taillights look more expressive instead of elegant, but the whole package is a winner.

  4. Hey, “UAW”(1022am post against Hyundai/Kia) guess you haven’t looked at the SALES of these cars lately. Hyundai SF wil SMOKE this thing.
Just what th eowrld needs, MORE UGLIFIIED GM PRODUCTS.

THIS is what WE were promised, then they came out with this 5 door? Typical Bob Lutz Line . He said ” It will be built like the show car” LOL…. the show car had 3 doors, and “out-cooled” Honda or Scion! This “out-cools” nothing.

Look at this link to see how it SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUILT!

Hey, UAW…. you #$%^&*( and coplain about every foreign car… you’re so obvious in your posts.
Go back to your gen-banks friends, and watch Oprah and try to win a G6.

  5. I can see those RayBans getting broken when they slide under that unusual parking brake handle right as the brake is released (nice ergonomic button placement, though).

  6. I saw this car a couple of days ago and – it is even uglier in the flesh. The interior is very little inviting. This is a Korean design and built in Korea – it is NOT an Opel. Keep that in mind.

  7. Wow, that looks like a Korean car, style-wise, which is not a good thing. Interior seems a bit better than the current Vue, but exterior I would say looks worse. Hardly as amazing as some GM supporters would have you believe.

Hey, Archie BunkerUAW/ hate filled perosn: keep it down, your hate filled rhetoric.

Go Buy Your Equinox, that has Chinese built engines. Buy American(LOL) whatever that means.
    UAW- Useless American Workers, you!

  9. my last reply to mr UAW:
dude, ya wanna know how popular GM is in Ohio> Look up(google it) Moraine Ohio GM Bus and Brake Plant: Over 1,200 jobs CUT just a few months ago, due to LOSS OF SUV sales(this looks like an SUV, A HORRIBLE ONE).
Guess what, if SUV slaes don’t pick up, according to the tv news, the plant will close the other 2 shifts, and close the GM plant completely down by 08!
Yep, keep braggin about ye r”American” junk… while Toyota, Honda, Hyundai/Kia, Mazda, and then the Chinese eat all of GM up for lunch, supper, midnight snack, and breakfast!Jerk!
Good thing you have two hands, otherwise you;’d never get laid!

  10. The hand brake is exactly like the “seat pan” release handle in an F-18 and other fighters that use Martin-Baker ejection seats. It allows for quick evacuation of the plane in case of fire (or ditching under water) without having to eject.

    I know–nerdy. But it’s cool to me.

Looks too much like a scaled down Equinox on the outside.

Best Comment Yet On This Vehicle. It looks liek they took the last generation(not the new, sharp -looking 07) Santa Fe, and Uglied it up.
Typical of GM. Take a winner product and make it soooo ugly ya dont’ want to even consider a test drive, let alone buy one!

    Lutz, go home!

This is the only other vehicle that could give the upcoing Sebring a run for ugliest vehicle of 2006.
It’s thisclose to a tie right now.

It looks like it has already been in an accident!
Who “restyled” this thing? They should be fired.
    Same for “Whoever approved this?”

    This isn’t an F-18.

  13. I don’t think the styling is that offensive. I hope the tuning of the car (suspension, steering, etc.) isn’t dumbed down for the US market.

  14. I doubt that any of you posting comments about this car are old enough to drive, if you were you wouldn’t be posting such uninformed juvenile remarks.

Some of you really need to get over the Toyota/Honda/Japanese fetish(if you don’t know the meaning of fetish, consult Mr. Webster).

    Sweetly be, Suckers

PS. Mr Webster can be found in your local library(I’m sure none of you have one at home), it’s a dictionary.

  15. The rear looks very close to my Vibe, and they’ve been making them for over 5 years. All GM vehicles are looking alike. How about letting somebody else design one for a change. Opel, Suzuki, Daewoo, Pontiac all look too much alike, and it is not very exciting.

You really shouldn’t be drinking so early in the day.

  17. Look! It’s a new 2006(to be called a 2007) Saturn Sante Fe!
Good thing Hyundai totally redesigned their Santa Fe for 2007, or there would be a lawsuit!
This looks Worse than any Santa Fe.

  18. Only one word to describe this “Americanized”, Non-3 door version: PITIFUL!
Purely and Simply just plain Pitiful!

Good thing I did not eat prior to viewing this monstrosity, or I may have ended up violently ill!

    The current Vue looks better.

And the prices they charge,LOL…. since it already looks like a Last generation Korean vehicle, may as well buy a newer, better looking Hyundai ,for thousands less, or a Kia, and get the 10/100K warranty!
