Already testing in Europe.

These guys aren’t wasting any time.
Here you can guess the differences between the production prototype and the concept.

  1. I expect the production version to look less sporty, and more like a typical Hyundai, but we’ll see.

  2. Even if it takes 40% of those styling ques it should still look amazing. From what I’ve seen, most new generation Hyundais look damn good!

  3. The Typicla Hyundai Sonata Betas the Typical Toyota Camry in Looks, so that ain’t too bad!
Camry looks like it has a Manatee nose on it; the grille! 😉
Calling “Fish-Man”; you Camry is ready!
Camry is ok, but over priced(as per usual).

  4. They ruined the roofline from concept to production. Unfortunatly that’s what gave it a sporty look. The production version looks very average.

  5. Good lord. People get excited over this? And to say this is better looking than a Camry, please… that not necessarily a compliment. I’ll take the sporty Mondeo from the previous thread any day over this dull Kia.

  6. i hope there are some changes on the production model, because the concept has the most hideous posterior ever designed.

I like the front and sides but the exaggerated rear will not be carried over into production.

So far I like this Hyundai. I’m very interested though in seeing the actual production before commenting further.

  8. Well, the bean counters have been sucessful in killing yet another good idea.

Dude, this is Not “Kia” version,LOL.
I like the Modeo, too, but unless that new CEO(takes over officially Oct 1, 2006) at Ford has some spine…we won’t get it in USA, which is a very big mistake!

As for Hyundai/Kia… I already am on a rant anout them…
Engiones and trannies are fine, but evbertyhing else mus t be coming from Chevy Parts Bins, ro GM-DAT in S Korea!

Door gaskets falling off, new power window motors(both) in rear needed replaced, along with the window gaskets…
Power door lock not working right, due to missing screws!!

What new cars do hold up anymore(besides our tC?).

Don’t bother with this ,even if it comes to USA.
As my father in law( been doing designs, etc, for GM then internationals for over 12 years now) said” almost all of these makers try to get suppliers to lower costs, and they put cheap junk in cars, and it doesn’t last!”
That is why his Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo had a tranny failure at 107,000. The old mopar trannies were a whole lot better than the new ones!

No wonder people pay (too much, IMHO) for Toyota and Honda(guess it is due to higher priced/better parts).
