  1. Too bad that this is a FWD setup. Otherwise, performance + this look will gurantee another super hit for D. Chrysler group.

  2. Better then Sebring, I like it more then the Charger. I hope it will get the interior that is not looking that bad in Sebring- I di not see any interior shots yet.

I dont understand why they dnt make the R/T version more powerfull then 235hp? In base, 300 trim it makes 250hp, so it would be possible to “bump” it up lil’?
Other midsize offerings (Accord,Altima) offer more, so I would imagine they would want to exceed that?
SRT version will fix it, but that is not a mainstream v6 like the ones in above mentioned Altima and Accord…

  3. looks too much like 70s generation
will sell only to those who owned sth similar when they were young in the 70s

  5. Hmmm… a bit better than the Charger, way better than the new Sebring, but still not the absolute best design in the world. C’mon, Mercedes, Give them a hand, you pretty much own them!

  6. RWD #$%^&*() rots!
Only “(in their minds) he men want RWD ! I grew up with RWD, in the Midwest, and it @#$%^&*() big time!

Toyota will be #1 world wide, and their most popular vehicles are FWD, so get over it!
You want RWD Chrysler? Save your pennies and buy a Charger, or 300.

Not everyone wants the same exact thing you want…. ya ever think of dat?
as for”70’s” design…. beats the Cobalt, Caliber, Sebring,
Civic, Corolla, and numerous ohter cars…so what do you drive that’s “soooo hot, gotta have?”(probaboly your mom’s car,if you’re old enough to drive, that is, LOL).

  7. nice looking ride. too bad it’ll be let-down by its mediocre drivetrain. they need the 6-speed standard across the line…and a competitive warranty…not to mention a upgrade of interior plastics.

Holy crap! Chill out! What are you high on?!

  9. this will ruin toyota and honda in the usofa!
a true american fighter made by americans

the other guys have no chance
    it’s almost sad

and wait till the next maliubu comes out. that will be the end of their worls as they know i
they jjuswut wont mnbe abble to compet anymers

  10. Normally I would say something like “If the interior looks as nice, they won’t be able to keep them in stock.”

However the Caliber has proven that to not be true. I think most will agree that the Caliber’s interior is a real shortcoming (the nice way to say ‘Cheap’) However it is a true hit for DCX.

I think this too will be a real hit for Dodge.

But I’m really hoping for a half way decent interior.

  11. The back looks like a Charger, and the front is strange … a mix between Charger and Caliber. Overall, not that great, rather have a Charger in fact.

  12. For those who want a Chrylser sporty car, FWD is fine, especially if ya live in the snow belt(unless you get into buying 2 sets of tires every 2-3 years, and maybe having chains for really bad days…gimme FWD, and avoid 2 sets of tires, normal/snow, and those tire chains, etc… waste of time and money, unless you prefer ditches…like most RWD-and a lot 4wd- vehicles…ya see on the news after a 1/2 foot of snow).

saying that, if this car AVOIDS the pit falls of that Sebring (review)…. and the MSRP’s…. it may sell well.
They start selling FWD 190HP V6 in the 300(low end car, and Magnum) price ranges…. I don’t know.

    Why do you say that?

It apperas to be a decent car, for a Big 2.5 model(except as Vince said, theinterior may not be good…..on earlier posts)….if nothing else, it beats the Malibu and maybe even the Fusion(this is a 190+ inche totla length vehicle, midsized sedan, with over 108+ inch wheelbase)…in looks.

    Why do you say that?

Yours is a fair enough question to ask. I say that because its styling looks geared towards NASCAR people. People who think trucks, SUVs, and Hummers are cool. In other words, white trash.

I am no fan of the vehicles in which you mention, especially when i see ’em used to “fetch” groceries, etc.
To me, a truck is for work(mostly)but not a family Sunday drive.

I prefer smaller vehicles, say compact sized.
    Anyhow, thanks for the explanation.

I can see some truck in this thing, but it is nto as bad as maybe the Charger’s front end(that scream RAM, to me).

I went looking on the net,and some 30 years old Chrysler cars had the big grille(although metal)too.

So, after seeing those…I kind of thought… welll

To me, the most NASCAR- looking car was the last generation Impala(with the “melted” looking tail lights).
I agree; make cars like cars, and trucks look like trucks.
Spouse is not wild about the front, because of the grille/oversized lights up front.

Hope they don’t make the next gen PT look like a RAM up front, lol.
Like the Caliuber, it’s a Neon replacement, they claim(where? It’s a crossover..the Neon was not, and the Neon had better MPG, and cost was less, in general).
The Caliber is a NASCAR fan vehicle(it still is not outselling the Old PT Cruiser, though, not by a long shot!).

I probably would like slightly smaller headlights adn grille, too, on this vehicle.
Still….. I’ll wait-n-see when they have been out 2 years how they hold up, look in person , etc…

  16. Mr Jones! Hope you like Hyundai, cause thei I-4 basic engine design(block) is theirs, that’s going inot the Avenger(slightly modifyed, of course, for Chrysler):https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Engine_Manufacturing_AllianceAnd the V6 sounds like GEMA may have a hand in it?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_GEMA_enginesSo, enjoy your “all American” vehicle, LOL!Thanks for the laugh.I like this car, BTW, just hope the interior is good, AND, IS CHRYSLER USING THEIR OWN TRANSMISSIONS? IF SO, I AIN’T INTERESTED.

  17. is the Sibling..the HORRIBLE sibling ot this decent looking Avenger(please, go look again). This review(which Avenger should be somewhat identical, with same engines, etc????? Guess we’ll find out next week?)… says the 4 cylinder’s (4 speed, sort of long shifts?), shifting is not good(notchy, it sounds like). The best model is 25K, the mid-level is(i forgot, 21-23K?) and the base model is 18-19K.MPG is 32 for the 173HP I-4(and the car sounds to be the in the midsized sedan range, easily).Hope this Sebring review does NOT indicate how the Avenger will be!Why don’t they source the Hyundai-type of shiftronic for their I-4?It could help, especially with only 4 speed automatic!Guess we’ll have to wait-n-see.
