  1. Is China immune from copyright lawsuits? They just seem to be doing whatever the hell they want when it comes to automotive design.

  2. The wheels look like the ones on that Lexus hardtop convertible.
I hope Mercedes, Lexus and Renault sue ’em.

  3. My 2006 Hyundai Sonata looks generic, why can’t the chinese be copy cats, most car companies copy off of each other,For example the 2001-2006 Lexus LS430 looked like the 1992-1999 Mercedes Benz S Class.

  4. 5-Series taillights! (Sort of).

Badge opening on the grill looks like a Ford emblem should go there!

It looks like a cartoon in those pictures.

  5. when i saw this car i fainted , oh my god god god….. this is the day after halloween and there is still evil forces at work ( made in china)!!!!

  6. You gotta love wheels that look like ugly clutch plates. These dummies have copied something that is widely regarded as the worst wheel design of any car sold today. Idiots.

  7. no thats a tl dash withe way the aluminum is shaped its pretty sad that the most these chinese companies can do is make replicas, if they used the creativity to do “real life” photo shops of cars, to create their own desighn cues, im sure they could probably produce some pretty decent desighns

japanese and korean copied their way into the auto market, who cares at this point

Respectfully, you’ve got it backwards. The argument isn’t about whether or not another company copied first.

But who cares? The people who designed it first.

  9. Copycat or not, price this thing below the G6, and it’d sell like hotcakes. It’s not a bad looking ride.

I agree. Even if it were G6 priced…and 10/100K warranty…. Yep, if the build quality, etc, were there….

  11. Guys, there’s a difference between imitating and copying. Other car makers will imitate styling cues, but the Chinese apparently are exempt from international copyright laws and just plain copy designs.

I think it’s horrible…I don’t care how good it looks in final form.

China has built a reputation of copying everyone else. Where do you think most of the knock-off electronics come from? Have you seen what’s on Ebay these days?

Is anyone gonna at least try and do something about it? They are still communist, right? I thought that used to be a big deal too?

Their human rights score card is worse than their copying issues.

Money talks i guess. But at what price?

This car is an example of copying.

    It seems you’re right.

Their human rights score card is worse than their copying issues.

President Bush detains and tortures people indefinitely without lawyers or a trial. Glass houses.
