Edge and MKZ delayed.
Last Updated:
For about a month.
Which isn’t bad, really.
Something at the factory…
It’s better than the old fashion way, back in the 80’s when they would put out a new car and “fix it later”.

Agreed Vince… Better delay then release a problem product. It almost sounds like Ford has learned customer service. Is there global cooling going on in Hell ?
I have already seen commercials for the new Aviator (yeah i know its the MKX, but thats a stupid name) why would they show commercials NOW if its going on sell LATER?
No but I just saw a chicken with a couple of teeth.
Commercials are shot and TV ads are booked weeks and months ahead of the car launch.
I guess the delay is a last minute thing.
I am still disappointed in these.
2 1/2 tons, no third row, and the handling dynamics of any other crossover.
Car makers make comebacks with stand-out models…not ‘me too’ models.
Maybe they don’t want to make a comeback after all?
I agree. These are me-too models. The first crossover came out in the late 1990s, with the original Lexus RX. The segment has climbed in recent years and is at a high right now. Wouldn’t it have been better if Ford had come out with these a couple years ago? We thought Audi was late to the party with the Q7. Ford’s even later. And not much distinguishes these CUVs from the 101 other ones out there. Where’s the innovation or excitement? This is just CUV #102.
So thyan why buy any CUV? What makes CUV #86 any better than CUV #52? What makes CUV #101 worth buying? If you need sports car handling, buy a sports car fer chrissakes. As fot the 3rd row seats, most CUV 3rd row seats are a sick joke, best suited for multiple amputees or thalidomide chidren. Why bother putting them in if they’re worthless for those of us with legs.
Oh no how tragic. The soccer moms will have to drive their old explorers a couple of more months. I hope that used explorer can hold up. You never know.
Seriously who cares? Nobody’s going to buy this bucket anyway.
Vince, Ford is having teething problems with the optional Panoramic Glass Roof which is prone to stress cracks at the A pillars. This is the primary reason for the delay.
Doesn’t really need a third row, they will have the explorer, freestyle, and the upcoming range rover look alike thing (apparently the fairlain name isn’t going to make it), with 3 rows.
This thing will sell tons, why they don’t lighten it up a bit I don’t know? That would definitely improve mpg.
I would like to see what the people who said this is a “me to model” have said about the titan, new tundra, all honda/toyota SUV’s, all korean cars etc etc etc

Why don’t they just start selling the ones built without it?
