  1. I think they should have stretched it out to be a long as a Mini. People still might have fears of its safety
    and size.

  2. I drove one in italy for 2 weeks. There is only manual and no neutral. Yeh had to ask some italian guy who spoke no english (go figure!).

In the city it was great, on the highway make sure you have a last will and testament. And buy your lunch, because a lunch box won’t fit with 2 people.

  3. I actually saw one of these cars (the current version) going westbound on I-70 in Illinois near the Indiana border. Unfortunately, I was going eastbound to Terre Haute. I must say that it looks small yet also neat. Can’t wait for it to come to the showrooms in 2008.

The Smart’s Trition Safety Cell makes it the safest car under $40,000. Seriously, it got that award! And it’s only about $10,000 as a starting price!

Makes a good golf cart. Put a bentley front end on it.

I’ll take it that you own an SUV. The Smart actually can go up to 130 kph (80 mph) and that’s only because they electronically limited its top speed. As for the Bentley front end, I’m not so sure that would work. Also, please capitalize.

Well, the one I saw in I-70 in Illinois was going around 65-70 mph (105-110km/h). If I recall, aren’t these cars being sold in Canada right now?

  6. well, zap! converted the used ones for sale in the states. they go for around $25k to $30k depending on options.

there would be a market for it if mercedes prices these around $15k-$20k. otherwise it just a novelty fad and it will go away in 5 years.
