Now from the back…

The new Sebring convertible does look better when you can’t see the freaky front headlights…

The luggage space seems almost decent for a hardtop convertible.
Chrysler now has a new way to measure volume: golfbags.
they claim you can store 4 golfbags with the top up, and 2 with the top down.

The one thing I noticed is how small the rear window is. That’s one of the main points about not having a soft top. A hardtop is supposed to give you a much larger rear window.
I guess not…

  1. that roof looks really squared off and awkward. it’s as if they couldn’t figure out how to make a curved roof to accomodate the splits in the roof where it folds. bad bad bad.

and the taillights mar an otherwise adequate rear view (when compared to the front). there’s a little bangle in there with the light-colored sections of the taillights.

overall, i still think the exterior design is a total messy misguided effort. the interior in the non-gray colors fares far better. the current sebring’s exterior is far better to me.

  2. I am wondering if this car was a hard sell for Chrysler management?
I just can’t understand how they let a car like this slip out without more refinement. I do not like the looks of this vehicle and i expect that the sales of these cars will be far off when compared to the current sebring convertible.

Management must have been mesmerized and blinded by the hardtop/convertible novelty alone.

Or maybe it was a collective corporate hardon over earlier union buyouts. After all, a hard dick has no conscious.

  4. No rollover protection. Just pathetic. This is something that will have to be government mandated before the Big Three include it on their convertibles.

  5. that middle picture looks just like a 1991 Ford Capri convertible. The POS imported by Ford of Australia to counter the original Miata.

    gross.
