i would have to disagree this lwb model looks rediculous and so does the escalade, and denali xl. all that chrome and gaudy styling just goes over the top when the car is stretched, especially since the navigator is already bigger than an escalade anyway…..

This is going to be a colossal flop… in a Canyonero kinda way. What’s so odd is that previous generations were vastly better than the Escalade, so it’s pretty amazing how much of a suckfest this design is. The fact that this design was vetted through middle and upper Ford management, the designers, the dealers, the auto shows, editorial coverage, etc really indicates that there is a systemic problem with the industry’s R&D and production process. This vehicle symbolizes a creativity void way deeper within the auto industry than just Ford. The Aztek and the Element and the Ridgeline designs are also just as bad.
Maybe this is what Ford’s idea of a Americanized version of a Scion Xb is? LOL. People are buying Scions by the boat loads, and these geniuses build this?

Well i love the Masculine look of the vehicle well it may not be a beauty, but hell it will turn heads with all that chrome on the grill, if i oculd afford one i would get it over a caddy any day.

i actually think that this design doesn’t look so bad. in fact, it is exactly what a lincoln truck should look like in my opinion. when the first generation came out, everyone criticized it for having too much chrome and being massive etc. and look at the success it was! i think that while it might not appeal to us automotive enthusiasts, it certainly will appeal to those people that equate big, leather, wood and chrome with luxury.
I’m pretty confused about the strip.
Lincoln’s website shows it in only a few pictures, and not on the color chooser. Motor Trend’s SUV of the year test shows one that seems to not have it; is this a preproduction vehicle here perhaps?
This is an awful, awful looking vehicle. They had the chance to do something special and they just decided to graft on some kitchen-ass looking grill and tail lights. Ooh! A longer wheelbase model!!
Horrible. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy this crapfest of a vehicle.

Ford is still recovering from Nasser’s decision to cut down on engineering and quality control a few years ago.
I can’t believe no one wants to get Jaguar. A legendary brand that actually puts out very nice and reliable cars right now.
