For those who thought the MKZ wasn’t worthy of the Lincoln name.
Take a look at this…

And I’m not “bashing” it because it’s an SUV (the new Escalade looks like a runway model next to this)

  1. i would have to disagree this lwb model looks rediculous and so does the escalade, and denali xl. all that chrome and gaudy styling just goes over the top when the car is stretched, especially since the navigator is already bigger than an escalade anyway…..

  2. “You are biased against Ford”
Where the hell does that come from?!

I am not biased for or against any brand.( I actually really don’t care who makes what)
If you have read anything on this site you would have notice all the good stuff I said about various Ford models. Even defending them.
You just need to learn how to read before making insulting statements.
(Yes,I think being biased is an insult. Especially when I do my best not to be)

I have been called biased by everyone. Agaisnt Ford, German cars, Japanese cars or American cars.
I guess no matter what you say, some obsessive nutcase will find it “biased”…

  3. This is going to be a colossal flop… in a Canyonero kinda way. What’s so odd is that previous generations were vastly better than the Escalade, so it’s pretty amazing how much of a suckfest this design is. The fact that this design was vetted through middle and upper Ford management, the designers, the dealers, the auto shows, editorial coverage, etc really indicates that there is a systemic problem with the industry’s R&D and production process. This vehicle symbolizes a creativity void way deeper within the auto industry than just Ford. The Aztek and the Element and the Ridgeline designs are also just as bad.

  4. Maybe this is what Ford’s idea of a Americanized version of a Scion Xb is? LOL. People are buying Scions by the boat loads, and these geniuses build this?
I wonder why their sales are tanking, lol!

I agree w/ Vince: I do NOT care who makes what. I also buy what I like, not what my neighbors deem good.

  5. Well i love the Masculine look of the vehicle well it may not be a beauty, but hell it will turn heads with all that chrome on the grill, if i oculd afford one i would get it over a caddy any day.

  7. i actually think that this design doesn’t look so bad. in fact, it is exactly what a lincoln truck should look like in my opinion. when the first generation came out, everyone criticized it for having too much chrome and being massive etc. and look at the success it was! i think that while it might not appeal to us automotive enthusiasts, it certainly will appeal to those people that equate big, leather, wood and chrome with luxury.

  8. I’m pretty confused about the strip.
Lincoln’s website shows it in only a few pictures, and not on the color chooser. Motor Trend’s SUV of the year test shows one that seems to not have it; is this a preproduction vehicle here perhaps?

  9. This is an awful, awful looking vehicle. They had the chance to do something special and they just decided to graft on some kitchen-ass looking grill and tail lights. Ooh! A longer wheelbase model!!

Horrible. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy this crapfest of a vehicle.

And this is coming from someone that’s totally behind Ford and want to see them succeed.

  10. After vehicles like this, is there anyone out there still wondering why Ford/Lincoln/Mercury is still losing so much money? And has anyone seen the guages in this tub….FUUUUUUGGGLLLYYY!!!!

  11. That Lincoln-branded, over-chromed Ford is beyond horrible and explains why Ford Motor Co. is in trouble and deserves to fail.

Yes, I am biased against Fords and POS like that awful thing are among the reasons why.

What classless fool would want to be seen driving it?

  12. Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five?
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down
It’s the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
    Hey, hey!
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide,
Sixty five tons of American pride!
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
She blinds everybody with her super high beams
    She’s a squirrel-squashin’, deer-smackin’ drivin’ machine
    Canyonero! Canyonero! Canyonero!
    Whoa, Canyonero! Whoa!

  13. So is Vince, quote from other thread,

“At least from what I see on this site, people really like it.
It is more atractive than about any midsized car offered in the US.

    And it’s a Ford…”,

Clearly implying Ford does not otherwise build good looking vehicles.

  14. What is going on??? Isn’t he the guy who almost ran Ford to the ground in the first place?
Ford is still recovering from Nasser’s decision to cut down on engineering and quality control a few years ago.

I can’t believe no one wants to get Jaguar. A legendary brand that actually puts out very nice and reliable cars right now.
They just need to be redesigned sooner than later, that’s all.
Ford waits forever to spend money into new design, and then complains no one is buying…

Another tale of morons running the show…

Yeh I stand by my comment….A preference or an inclination, especially one that inhibits impartial judgment.

  15. And with SUVs not selling well, why would Ford have chosen now to be the time to introduce the biggest and ugliest vehicle on earth? Previous Navigators were quite smart looking compared to this… what happened?

  16. This does NOT make good sense, Especially after reading this:————————————————————————————————————————————Small Cars OUTSELLING SUV’s.Yep, I see Ford will gain market share, LOL, with this thing(roll-eyes).Sheer Genius(NOT!). What a sad joke!

  17. of one story about Ford here is that the SUV/Large trucks are NOT selling, and they are gonna shut down(a line, or plant, I forgot: It’s NOT good news…) a SUV line. And they , yet, wanna build this?Who’s running Ford, again?
