  1. For half the price I will find someone a car that’s better looking, performs better, is more reliable. and has a better resale value.

So what good is this car?

  2. That grille belongs on an Escalade, not on a sedan. And someone knock over Bob Lutz, please. I really don’t like that dude.

  3. But in the end, you’re still driving a Camry that is as exciting as the blender on my kitchen counter.

  4. I love all of the assumptions Brian just made about this car after seeing half the grill.

But the half I see is looking pretty sweet.

  5. HAHAHAHAHA You know all of that information just from the front clip of the car? You’ve got to be kidding.

  6. ^^^U can tell the price, performance and reliability from a sneak peak photo that only shows teh front end of the car?. If i can introduce u to reality, cadillac quality is, especially for the CTS, great. Why dont u back up what you say and tell me what $18k (about)car outperforms and has better reliability than the current CTS (I bet this ones better).

  7. Aggressive….I like it….I love the intricate headlight assembly and the grill….I already have an idea of what the back will look like (the back is remenicant of the 16 concept)

this car actually looks like a more a scaled-down, yet more aggressive version of the 16 concept car….

  8. Looks fantastic. There are plenty of interior pix floating around, and those look even better.

If the car feels as good as it looks, and reliability holds up, I think GM will easily double their normal CTS sales with this one.

  9. For twice the price I will find someone a car that’s worse looking, performs worse, is less reliable and has a worse resale value.

    So what?

  10. The sneak peak looks great.

It seems Bob Lutz has come 180 degrees on Cadillac’s Art and Science. When he arrived, he wanted it “smoothed” out (thus the somewhat weakened STS) but the new Escalade and this CTS indicated that they’ve gones balls-to-the-wall with the theme and are going to let it all hang out there…

Which is exactly what they need to do!

  11. this will be “another” hit for cadillac, they have come along way in such a short amount of time, gm haters aside this car is one of the best in the segment, everything else is just ignorrant perception….besides, according to Forbes cadillac has 3 cars on the 10 best selling luxury cars list, one of which is the current cts thats been out since 2002 with little change…so thousands of people a year, would disagree with your comment

  12. Looks great so far! Can’t wait to see the whole thing uncovered! Maybe in 5 or so years I’ll be able to afford a used 08. ;P

  13. Based on this little peek, the new CTS looks to have a certain brash look to it, and I like it. Can’t wait to see the whole thing at Detroit.

  14. To all the self-proclaimed know-it-alls who can claim to know everything about the CTS just from this sneak peek, here’s one for you: I just farted, how tall am I?

  15. This thing looks like it’s going to be great. The “sneak peak” pics are very encouraging and the Cadillac brand has actually become cool again. Who would have thought?

I do hate press pictures of cars with executive geezers in front of them. It makes you wonder how such a beautiful car could have been built by a couple of uncool stiffs like this in charge. I know this sounds mean, but couldn’t they loosen their ties up just a tad? They should ask “what would the Maseratti guys do?”

  16. You know, it’s better than I thought it would be, but I think they should have updated the STS, not the CTS.
