Saw REGULAR gas at $3.399 in San Francisco today.
The traffic is still heavy around here, so the high gas prices haven’t yet taken the moron-owned Ess Yoo Vees off the road. Too bad!
Wow…Thats about $0.60 per gallon more than here. Then I see those beautiful palm trees and blue sky and think the extra cost is worth it.
Around SW Ohio area, prices have been 2.59, to as “low” as 2.41 per gallon, depends on what county I was in, this past Sunday! I think we were paying 1.77 or so just 2 months ago! Can anyone say 3 per gallon in Midwest by Memorial Day weekend, and probably 3.50-3.75(or more) for regular ,out in Vince’s area?
Next car may just have to be a hybrid!

In Canada, the reason why the price jumped is 1. a fire started at a refinery, 2. a strike started for the train workers, preventing gaz to be transported by train. Those events made a shortage in oil (closing several gaz stations), therefore, the price jumped sky high(from 0.80cent/Litre to 1.1cent/Liter). Now that both problem are resolve, they failed to bring back the price down. This could have affect you guys also, since Canada sells a good proportion of their oil to the US.
$2.70 up from $2.45 in the metro Cleveland area. At least we are not paying $7.00 to $8.00 a gallon which is what I paid per gallon or liter in Holland last fall. $97.00 to fill a small car.
A couple of ARCOs I’ve seeen in SoCal are “only” 2.98 (as of this morning). I’m glad my Vibe gets 30+ mpg with all the freeway miles I drive!
If you Californians would stop trying to vote yourselves something for nothing… When you do that you will always get nothing for something. It aint the oil companies despite what the maggots in Sacramento try to get you to think. Where people aren’t trying to vote themselves something for nothing, the gas is much cheaper.

Remember, California does not receive any OPEC Oil at all. Most oil is pump in house, Alaska, Mexico [two-years they are gone], and one Pacific Island.
The excuse is that the few refineries are offline for maintenance. Every middle-man is trying to exercise capitolism at it greedest point.

The US invaded Iraq in the 90’s to “kick Saddam out of Kuwait.” Um, sure. Okay, so we spent billions of American tax dollars and countless lives to do so, yet we still don’t control world oil prices? What’s up with that? Why isn’t Kuwait giving us oil for our role in “liberating” them?
Now we’ve invaded the second largest oil field in the world, but we are beholden to market prices dictated by Saudi Arabia?
