Five stars

Last Updated:

All these cars just got a 5 star in the latest European crash tests.
Most of these are sold here.
Except the new Fiat.

The new Corolla (top) is coming here soon.

  1. how did the fiat’s front wheel manage to remain intact but move backwards into the car almost as if by magic?

  2. forget the 4 -5 stars, form the side profile, and what little of the lights(tail lights ) I can see, the “new” Corolla looks dated already(like an old person’s car).
From what I heard, the Corolla will be around 180 in total length( or 15 feet), and same fo rthe new Lancer. I’ll take the 4 door Lancer instead.
I hope this is NOT the version we’re getting. The Elantra looks better(side profile, even) than this blander-than-white-bread thing they’re crashing! I say wreck it again, to make sure it can never run again!

  3. By the looks of this new Corolla, it is a safe bet to say that this will be the demise of the once fun to drive and sharp looking platform we have all come to know and love! Will this new beast of burden be made in Canada or Mexico?

  4. 741. Its a hubcap, or plastic wheel cover as you would like to call it. They have similar style hubcaps on the fiats here in australia.

  5. Not how the Hondas rear wheels move forward in a crash. This is to absorb chash energy. Makes the car kinda expensive to repair HaHa.

  6. The CR-V did indeed score 33 points (which would mean 5 stars – the Fiat got 33p. too), but was refused the fifth star as injury risk in he frontal crash was too high to meet 5 stars criteria in certain areas. So it was give 4 stars at all….

And the Fiat wheel isn’t moving that much backwards nor is it staying intact – it’s the wheel cap flying away….

  7. >>how did the fiat’s front wheel manage to remain intact but move backwards into the car almost as if by magic?

It’s not a wheel. It’s a wheelcover. It popped off after the collision.

Look more closely, it’s just a wheel cover that popped off, the acutal (steel) wheel is where you’d expect it to be.
