  1. BMW wasted precious money on things like frameless door windows, taillights that the rear doors open around, and a silly rear split-door when a one-piece hatch would have been better. At least they hinged the right side rear door for American markets. Honda’s CR-V (until recently) never saw fit to offer a left-hinged rear hatch for Americans schlepping groceries from the curb.

Mini’s are supposed to be unique, so mini’s obviously trying to be as different as possible. If you don’t like it, go buy VW or something more “common” looking.

Thanks. I will. The split rear door is still silly, inelegant, and not user-friendly.

  4. i was considering a cooper s, but was waiting to see how the clubman turned out. i was hoping that that ugly trim around the hatch was just a camo…. nope. i think the trim around the hatch is ugly as hell. what were they thinking? it looks cheap and messes up the design.

    i’ll take a regular cooper s please.
