Notice that the new Honda’s 1.5 engine has 120 hp and burn less fuel than the old one. Too bad that the new Fit is also bigger and heavier. Worth a year of waiting? I think so. But is this any faster than the old car? I don’t think so.
The interior is awesome, the exterior is awesome … when do we get it Honda?
Thanks for this interior shot, Vince. It’s nice to see a car without that stupid navigation system.
Honda’s may be reliable but damn are they ugly/weird.

–> coming from a user whose screen name is “Big Bird”, yea rite, are you kidding me..?!?
cheap
A practical, affordable, reliable, economical, and desirable car. Something American auto makers have never been able to produce. Good job once again Honda!
I like the exterior (sporty line and hatch) has much has I hate the interior (clumsy made dashboard, crouded instrument layout)

The dash design leaves me cold, too, but I bet it is ergonomically sound. Looks like everything is well within reach. That wins me over in the end.
The car has only gained 22 lbs of weight total, so the 11hp and 21 lb-ft of torque increase of the new car I bet makes it a whole lot easier to live with than my girlfriends 2007 model. PLUS its got 10 friggin cupholders. Thats what more than my forester and X-Terra
FYI the numbers that you stated aren’t correct. I assume you read them from the Edmunds Inside Line 2009 Honda Fit preview article. They said the new Fit will have 118 hp and 107 lb-ft. That is actually +9 hp and +2 lb-ft more than the current model. Edmunds messed up. They also incorrectly stated the cargo space volume figure. I wouldn’t necessarily trust the 22lb weight gain figure either.

Just a heads up…
