Great little car, but some still don’t understand it. I bet good old Docushbag Jones will hate this, but who cares what he thinks.
It looks pretty bad, and this is coming from someone who likes the regular Mini styling. It looks like they cut a Mini in half, stuck a middle section in it, and then put it back together. The rear end also looks horrible, a huge step down from the rear end of the regular Mini.
whatcar.co.uk thinks the car has a stupid rear end design. i agree, why not just have a simpler single-door design or get rid of the plastic encircling the whole thing? also, you’d think that bmw would add a little more room, i cant see that much of an improvement over the regular mini
For those who don’t understand this model this car is not for you. This model is meant for a unique individual not somebody who likes the ordinary. It’s kind of funny that people complain about the hatch on this model, I wonder how many complained when GM (Current Chevy Full-size Vans, 80’s Astro van and SUV’s). In my opinion this is a great vehicle as I said early this is unique. Does anyone know if this will be available for a limited time? I was thinking this would be a gap model until the full four door model comes out.
don’t like the barn door in the rear. the glass windows coupled with the metal center pillars would be disastrous for rear view vision. cars seem to hide in there. for those drivers drive one of those ford or chevy express cargo/passenger vans with rear windows know what i am talking about.
it would be better to have the flip up glass and barn door like one used in the ford excursion. moreover the wipers look bad back there. it would be better to design a swoop-down spoiler to clear the water and rid of the wipers. a cleaner design.

I am sure there are complaints on the rear doors on these big vans. however the wing mirrors are big enough that they compensate for the blind-spot created by the barn door. the reason for the barn doors in these big vans because (1) you can walk in/out in commercial purpose (since that is what these vans are for), (2) one big swinging door would be too large in tight space and (3) flip up hatch would be too high in low places.
the mini mirrors are really small coupled with the small rear windows plus the barn-door effect would be horrible in city traffic. they should have given it a flip up glass plus the barn door if the barn door is what they are after.
