  1. Now that we can finally see what the real car looks like it is indeed the real deal! The looks and performance of the GT-R is what car nuts like us dream about and work towards owning. And it is this type of car that will have the next generation of teens hanging a picture of the GT-R on the wall just as my generation hung up pictures of the GTO and the Trans-AM. Bottom line is this car is HOT!

  2. OK, THIS CAR I WILL BUY. That is if a dealer will sell at fair sticker price. I love an uncivilized car! Jay Leno wants one also I am sure.

  3. Why did they remove the vents from underneath the headlights? That was my favorite part of the design. The front end looks like it’s missing something now. Too bad.

  4. this car is a mess and at twice the price of a corvette it doesnt even have a name just letters when you can buy a legebnd for half the price the choice is clear

  5. Well it’s about damn time. The teaser shots have been happening for so long that I was starting to lose interest. The interior looks like it’s from the 80s and the exterior looks like it was designed by a teenager. But you know what… Crude is fine. It’s what it can do that matters. I would do anything just to drive one for a weekend!

  6. That car has a serious underbite. It is not a very well designed auto, the front and rear look as though they were designed in two different studios and welded together. It may sell at intro but this design is going to grow old as fast as an open can of Tuna.

  7. Ms. Slimebag Jones , if this car was made in the USA you would love it. It is time to get rid of your ills.
Nissan deserves more respect and you would realize this if you had common sense. The Vette is a good car too, but open up your eyes.

  8. Not twice the price of a corvette but relatively about the same as a Z06, which is in its performance category. It could look better for that much money though. At least its unique, unlike the Z06.

  9. No fog lights on a near $80,000 car? And that interior is as horribly designed as the outside.

Honestly, I’m happy for people who like this thing, but I’ll never envy you.

  10. There might be bi-xeons on this baby
and it might look nice in person, write 7:10pm
When this thing rips your shirt off from the cross winds, you might be envious.

  11. I haven’t lusted after a car in so long. This one is going to give me the automotive equivalent of blue balls. It is so contemporary and brings back the Japanese design that I like. Not the new crap. I LOVE the simplicity of the center stack, the race style steering wheel and the general look of the interior. This is one of the coolest cars on the planet.

  12. Pandon me if I am wrong, but the styling is nothing more than copy form the Fairlady, I hope it is more original than this, no doubt this will be a fast car, it has to, otherwise it will not justify the high cost, but the styling, well, I hope they will decide it better

  13. It’s a good thing that this car is fast, because it isn’t gonna win any beauty contests. It reminds me of the Dodge Conquest when I squint my eyes a wee bit. It looks to me that it’s gonna be one of those cars that you look at 10 years down the road and wonder what Nissan was thinking. Atleast a Porsche 911 and Acura NSX are timeless designs.

  14. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much love and hate for one car.

There hasn’t been one quite this ugly.

  15. Vince, the people who hate it are fanboys of other brands. People who love it are either fanboys of Nissan or performance fanatics who can appreciate a good value and recognize that this vehicle is amazing. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the tuners can do to this car.

Is someone really complaining about this vehicle not having fog lamps??? WHO CARES!?! Really! Maybe they are integrated into the headlamp assembly. Get real, this is not an American car that they slap fog lamps on every vehicle.

  16. This is the perfect car for all those middle-aged ricer boys who’ve outgrown their Civics and Celicas.

    Viagra is cheaper.

I care. Where I live, fog lamps are invaluable for safety. They are mounted low (not in the headlight assembly) for the purpose of illuminating the road under the fog instead of into it. And on a car of this price range, it is expected by many people even if you don’t understand.

  18. I am sorry. I am a great fun of Nissan. But, the looks of the GT-R
are kind of average. The darn G37 looks more appealing than this….Of course, it may kick a…
in the driving dynamics, but, its style is kind of clumsy may be?

  19. BLACKLASER NERO… A TRUE SPORT CAR,love and hate? I am in the dark side I love it to death, I could drive it to death. I love the retro style inside because I have a good memories about interiors of the japanese cars by the end of the 70`s and early 80`s. a car with a black blood, a perfect car for lord vader. look like old people with selective style design and create THE PERFECT BEAST. don`t judge it too fast. lamborghinis and ferraris lacks of soul about street racers cars even if they are more fast, and I just think how expensive they are, but one time you see the gt-r you just think in fast, speed and adrenaline in your blood. IT IS A PERFECT 10. thanks nissan, now you are on the peak.

  21. BLACKLASER…This is from autoblog,…..according to the GT-R’s design director, Shiro Nakamura, “We didn’t want a nice elegant shape. We wanted an original shape.” Check that.

The other interesting tidbit was that Polyphony Digital, the company behind the Gran Tursimo franchise, was contracted to develop the multifunction LCD – a staple of the last generation GT-R. The new display, much like the old, will log dozens of different pieces of information – from engine temps to Gs
