More on the Intima Concept

And a nice interior.
It also looks a bit better from a profile.
If they work on it, it could make for an interesting Maxima…

Anyway, here is the official corporate BS:

“Intima
A New-generation Saloon for People with a Sophisticated, Discerning Eye for Beauty – Who Enjoy Spending Time in Refined Elegance and Comfort, Whether Traveling Alone or with a Partner
• Intima takes Nissan’s Modern Living Concept into a new dimension with an interior that invites passengers into an extraordinary world of artistic forms, materials and illumination.
• The front passenger’s seat swivels approx. 80° to the outside, as if to welcome and escort a passenger into the car.
• Exterior styling that matches the interior’s artistic image, with a design that combines sharp-edged lines and organic panel surfaces. Rich elegance is conveyed though Intima’s arching side character line, while the crystal-like appearance of the front and rear lamps, grille and wheels project an image of superior quality and refinement reminiscent of jewelry.”

  1. Kind of nice. And speaking of corporate BS, at least they’re not calling it a “4-door coupe.”

  2. This should be the next Nissan Maxima. The current one basically became an Altima twin, kind of sad since the Maxima used to be a great seller and a better car
over the Accord. Now since the Accord grew in size and went upscale, this would be perfect for Nissan!

  3. wow, that interior is beautiful. The swoop and clean surface of the center console is so elegant.

Yes, the outside is not as bad from this angle. Still, the rear overhang and droop … too much.

  4. God Bless Nissan, the best looking car of all time, right here in front of your eyes. Feast on the future of automotive design. Nissan will always be the leader, where all other lesser car companies aspire to be like. We DON’T expect all of the simple folk with the sunburns on the back of their necks that drive ford pickups to understand, heck they think sheep are pretty attractive. we are talking to smart, educated, intelligent beings.

  5. “we are talking to smart, educated, intelligent beings”

Yes, the exact people who don’t buy Nissans.

  6. “we are talking to smart, educated, intelligent beings”

Yes, the exact people who don’t buy Nissans.

  7. I think it’s a real nice car. Agreed, it would make a great Maxima. I gotta say, its got a chin like Jay Leno.

    JM

  8. Yikes. Until I read the comments, I thought this was a childs illustration of the next Avalon. I really hope Nissan doesn’t go this direction. Toyota provides enough boring designs as it is.
