I just wonder why they choose to release a picture of a white car. That doesn’t seem to be the best color for this car.

It has a big sunroof because the Mustang will have the same skyroof option.
I love how the overall proportions are true to the concept, but the rear bumper looks different, hopefully i’ll see an updated version at NAIAS in a few weeks.

this isn’t “official”, but on “Autoblog” they had an article stating that interference with testing forced GM to remove camoflague on the Camaro, but everyone already knows what it looks like anyways.
I think the yardstick by which you use to measure the appeal of cars is disgusting.
I could slap a skyroof on a Chery QQ and you’d approve.

Hey Douchebag, Camry and Camaro will not be competing for the same customers. So I don’t beleive this will be the assisin of the Camry.
I do think this could be an image boosting car for Chevy. The vette is out of a lot of peoples reach still and isnt as practical. The Mustang will have a competition. But will Ford give it more than a power boost and a new front facia to make to it a match or beat the Camaro? I don’t see it. I see slighty restyled w/ glass roof option, more power, a price increase but less expensive than comparable Camaro. I don’t have high exceptation for any of these new muscle cars. What happened to moving forward? These cars are better than the originals however still have the same drawbacks. I maybe a bit biaist.
Vince, what color do you think would do this car justice Silver/grey? Blue? I’m sure there will be a hooker red avail. Black and white take away from the cars already limited design.

Such a shame, too.
It still looks like all the crisp sharp lines of the concept car have melted away to a dull smooth slab! The rear end now looks like a tupperware microwave container that was left in the microwave too long! GM had a good thing and decided to ruin it once again!

the Camaro will be a sales flop. How many 2 door sporty cars sell well nowadays? By the time this comes out, gasoline will be $120 to $130 a barrel. People will look at these, but they won’t sell!
Another American car built with tunnelvision. Instead of building cars that people want (economy), build what makes the beancounters happy. It’s Lutz’s pet project. But it’s the wrong project at the wrong time.

Contrary to the sadly misguided beliefs of some here, not everyone wants goofy little economy cars with all the panache of a wind-up toy. The Camaro is meant to be a niche model (like the Nissan GT-R), built for those who still have a passion for real performance cars, no matter how “uneconomical” or “impractical” they might be to some. And quite frankly, a lot of those folk — like me — make enough money that we could give a rat’s ass about the cost of gas.
Sheesh, that’s one big ol’ bloated two-door coupe for 2008.

I have a vague idea what this insipid comment is supposed to mean, but I put in a hard and honest days work for every dollar I earn and I will spend it any way I damn well please. If it’s for the gas to run the car of my choice, than so be it. You can drive whatever motorized appliance you deem fit for yourself.
