2009 Cobalt SS Sedan
Last Updated:
Don’t know much about this one. Except for this official picture and title.
I guess they just decided to offer the 260hp engine in the sedan as well as the new 2008 SS Coupe. Why not.
But from the picture it looks like the Cobalt will again look the same next year.
How about a new interior. Or at least, a new dash….
There is still hope.
I don’t care if GM puts 1,000,000 HP in that POS, it’s still ugly and bland. It’ll just be ugly, bland, and fast–whoopie!
Why must GM offer this mess and the apparently better (but similar) Saturn Astra? The Astra should be enough.
This should have been offered when the Cobalt was launched. When I think of a Cobalt, I think “bland””cheap””slow””inferior.” Kind of how I think of the Civic sedan. Chevy only offers the good stuff once they realize the vehicle is failing in the marketplace. By then it’s just a lame duck. Bad strategy. Bad! Carmakers are only flush with marketing cash when there are model introductions and they only have one chance to make a good first impression. So they should put their best foot forward right out of the gate. The Cobalt SS is way too late to be impactful.
When they put this engine in the Astra, I’ll be impressed. That thing needs to share the love of the Cobalt engine family!
The new Ecotec 2.0L Turbo is an impressive motor. A quick makeover of this Cobalt thing is overdue…”Malibu” the interior now!
The engine has 260HP and 260lb-ft at low RPM…Quite well done. Vince, test drive this for us.
Now it is my time to be a douhesbag jones, but on American cars…”UGLY”.
The interior of the Cobalt is abysmal. I’d rather have the slower Civic Si….
junk is junk
The only thing I don’t like on this car is the rear end….and I have a thing against brake-light blinkers.
Lipstick on a pig.
