    The plaid is a GTI trademark, it
    has appeared in all GTIs since
    the Mark I.

  3. I think the plaid is the most significant change they’ve made to the car. Not bad looking just doesn’t stand out as a European vehicle. This is the main reason people buy one, because they can’t afford and Audi.

  7. Man, I would love to have a Mk1 or Mk2 GTI in mint condition. Amazing cars! The new one is pretty sweet also.

  8. The exterior looks nice as do the seats but that center console is stuck in the 80s. Why are VWs interiors regressing ? The Cruze interior makes this look like some restored classic.
