I guess this one is for the Prius fans.
Just kind of more of the same. Roomier, more powerful with better gas mileage.
But it won’t come cheap. Toyota is even thinking of still selling the current model once the new one comes out.

Kind of a “Prius Classic”…

  1. Every time I see a Prius I pray for a steamroller to come by and destroy it. This is no different.

  2. 100 % like the honda hybrid, hey while i’m here a couple of questions. Does this still use nickel in the batteries which are mined for and built in china with no regard for the environment? will this one stall at highway speeds like old one? will tree huggers finally realise that they are damaging the environment more than when driving a hummer ?

  4. Aren’t the days past yet where a hybrid needs to look like a retarded child? The gimmick has been around for years now, we’re used to it. They should get back to making cars now. Just add the hybrid technology to it.

  5. Yawn… I think the $30k I spent buying a share of the Brooklin bridge will do me (and the world) more good than 30K spent on a Prius.

  6. I love the 1990 Chevy Lumina guages. Is that what they call progress? The rest of the interior is pretty bland too. Actually it sucks. Anyway, I’m sure it’ll do a great job saving gas. If I was getting a hybrid though I would rather have the 2010 Fusion Hybrid. It’s more like a real car and has a waaay better interior too.

  13. Prius hummer myth is a myth. The report tried to guess that the Prius didn’t last as long as a Hummer and therefore calculated a lifetime substantially shorter which ended up that it could be as expensive from ‘dust’ to ‘dust’. But by now we have enough data to know it’s not true. Prius last longer than alleged 8-10 years (not so sure about their claimed Hummers lifespan:-).

    Second the batteries is an old report. Not sure what current status is but at least for the alleged North America pollution claims this not the case anymore for a long time. Second this is a known fact: both Toyota and Honda will fully recycle the batteries (and the batteries do lasts easily 100K+ miles).

    I like the Honda Insight design much better. Not sure what’s up with Toyota lately since their desings are just too safe/boring.

  14. If the Prius gets a significant price hike, it just makes the new Insight look like an even better buy.
