2010 Lexus LS

Last Updated:

Nothing drastic, as you can see.
Pretty much similar to what they did with the IS sedan for 2009.
Revised lights, front and rear. New bumpers etc… Just details.

But the bigger news is under the hood.
They will offer a V6 for the 1st time. it is supposed to be a stronger version of the 3.5 Liter they put in pretty much everything they make, from the Camry to the Lexus GS.
In the LS it would produce over 310 hp. Which should be more than enough for most people, really.

  1. If it’s the 2GR-FSE V6 that’s in the IS and GS, that’s good for 306 hp with direct injection. This is the engine which has made Ward’s 10 best list.

As for the V6 used in the Camry, that engine is about 268 hp and no direct injection.

If there is a V6, almost certainly the first option.

  2. That should allow it to compete with the Dodge Journey (same 3.5L displacement, but more interior room & better MPG than the Lexus — all with AWD and a price 1/3 of the Lexus.) But you know what Toyota says: "There's a sucker born every minute — and those suckers like it B O R I N G ! ! …

  3. Looks like the Genesis is causing them to rethink things….

LS350…..it sounds silly, but it is more than adequate.

  4. Well with the price of fuel slowly creeping up again, economy is becoming priority again.
Ive ridden in one of these and ill say, that this model blows most of its competition away.

  5. isn´t it really crazy that we call a V6 engine with more than 310 hp in the LS “a small engine”? As you can see with my basic english i am from germany…and here e.g. Audi offers an 2.8 liter V6 with little more than 210 hp in there A8 and still call it “a good choise”….

  6. “That should allow it to compete with the Dodge Journey”

What were you smoking when you wrote this?

  7. FINALLY a replacement for my leased S350. I probably won’t be able to get $699/month yet like I did last year, but possibly by 2011. It’s all about the dealer demo models, people.

  8. Boringgg Boringg Brongg!!

    Engine is Boringgg

    The looks are Borinng

    The Driver’s are Boringg

Who in the right mind would sell Walk straight past a NMW 7-series, Mercedes S-class, Audi A8 and lets not forget the VW Phaeton and then think “Humm I wont a Lexus LS”

  9. “Buy a Genesis?” Are you reading your comments? That is just absurd. And in agreement with comment #5, the LS blows its competition away in every aspect.

  10. It was not too long ago that the 7-series and S-class were sold in this country with 6-cylinder engines too; maybe their brand managers will come to their senses and bring them back (that’s if those models haven’t grown too fat for 6-cylinders).

    By the way, the original ’89 LS400 with a 4.0 V8 made 250 hp.

  12. I have driven an LS460, a 7 series and a S550. honestly, the 7 series isnt all that great like its been hyped up to be. The S550 wasnt bad but the LS460 was my favorite. Lets see the Benz and BMW park themselves!

  13. parking themselves is a bullshit gimmick, designed to excite simple folk like yourself. Drive an Infiniti m35 , if they let you and you will drive the best car ever made. Tip to you sir…..Take off the plaid shirt, lose the straw between your yellow teeth and wash before you even drive onto an Infiniti lot. There are standards you know. Ha….Parking themselves, grow up.

  14. Ugly tail lamps, generic grille and stupidest headlamp design since the third generation Q45. This car is invisible compared to an S class, 7 series or A8.

  16. True as true can be. Infiniti #1 is right. I have owned 2 lexus models. es , quiet comfy, really not much more than my granpaps camry. Now I have a G35x infiniti. Day and Night Baby. What a well crafted piece of machinery, bolted together as tight as a Seiko and a Joy to get into and drive “every single time”. Infiniti is #1 in my book and I have owned Lexus.

  17. Well the sales of Lexus compared to Infiniti speak volumes.
And the Lexus is the winner there.
    More happy customers then infiniti.

  18. The performance of Infiniti over the past 20 years just shows that Nissan has absolutely no clue as to how to maintain a luxury brand.

Also, the M is gutteral automotive trash. Ugh.
