2010 Audi A8???

Could be .. Not sure.
At least it’s probably pretty close. Nothing new, really.

  1. Looks good. The current A8 was a pretty significant departure from the previous one. And even though it's five years old, it still looks fresh. Audi was smart to make the next one evolutionary.

  2. Sorry Vince, but in a conservative world, it's new !

and I like it. Don't expect too much for this category.

  3. Oh please not this tapered grille, I love the current A8 grille but now they seem to want to chamfer it on the top corners like the A7 Sportback concept….which was the only thing I hated on that concept. On this rendering I believe the headlights are too elongated, nice and radical…but stretched too long, the Aurdi emblem is set too high as well. Overall nice take but a bit off.

  4. Yeah, this is awful. The current A8 isn't competitive as is.

Great cars. Too bad they do not last for more than 50k miles. Sigh….!

Less than that. My companies president had a 2005 A8 and it was flat bedded from the parking lot three times.

He now has a S63 and it hasn't had a single problem.

Baloney. My Audi just turned 64k with nothing more than a broken cup holder and rather expensive scheduled maintenance. After owning several VW/Audi cars since I was a teenager, I'm still personally waiting for the horrible reliability everyone talks about. People always tell stories of a "friend of a friend had a lemon Audi" which means nothing. Anyway, I think this A8 looks very sharp. Much better than the new 7 series.

You are either full of s*it or lucky. I have owned an Audi and so friens of mine. And never again. By the time you hit 40k miles, that is when you start having the electrical, powertrain, belts, and A/C problems, just to mention a few.

And what is up with your owning only Audis?

Hes obviously a sucker for punishment and a bottomless pit on his wallet and repairs.

    I call bullshit too.

First Audi my father owned was a 2004 A8 and he had SERIOUS and persistent issues with the MMI (nav and radio problems), HVAC doing whatever it wanted, starting issues which left him stranded twice, ride height control issues, the list goes on.

I understand you will have issues with vehicles the more expensive and complex that they get but he now has a 2007 S class which hasn't even had a quarter of the problems that the Audi had. That was also a FIRST YEAR, and new releases always have some issues.

    That is pathetic.

  9. To each his own I guess. What people say about "my father owned" "my friend owned" "my boss owned" is not consistent with a brand that I know first-hand. These twice-removed comments allow posters to be vague and perhaps embellish whatever claim they're trying to make. For that matter, I know several people who love their Audis. I've owned many other brands, and Audi isn't the only brand I currently own so I have no allegiance to any one versus the other. I don't know anyone who has an A8, but I do know that both the current S-Class and the previous generation 7-Series aren't exactly bug-free.

Whatever, I think this image of the new A8 looks good, the current S-Class is sweet too. But I wouldn't be caught dead in the new 7-Series.

  10. YOU SAID: "I think this image of the new A8 looks good, the current S-Class is sweet too. But I wouldn't be caught dead in the new 7-Series" Interresting. I feel just the opposite. The A8 is gorgeous inside but bland outside. The S is just funky and slimy inside & out. (The best design MB has EVER had is the 2010 E-class; and it's still a long way from Cad, BMW, or Chrysler (300). The 7-series was REALLY NICE about 5 years ago –the controversal one– but since it has gotten blander and blander. I notice Lexus (LS) and Merc (E CLASS) have unabashidly copied MANY styling cues from recent 7-series. Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks the 7 is STILL the best (design) of the bunch.

  11. I had a 2000 A6 and it was awesome. I traded it in at 98k miles and i never had anything go wrong except the sunroof motor burned out.
