TSX wagon VS. Accord Crosstour

Last Updated:

The Acura could be priced at about $2000 to $3000 above the roomier Honda.
At that price, the Honda will come standard with the V6. And AWD will be an option.

Which would you get?

  1. First things first….there is no TSZ wagon. Perhaps you should check your spelling before you publish a post…

  2. I would get neither. Or I would get a used Mazda 6 wagon.

The reason why is the Crossturd is a hideous monstrosity, and Acura is going to put that stupid beak POS grille on an otherwise decent looking vehicle, so if you choose either of these you will suffer thorough embarassment each and every day of your life for the next few years. The embarassment of announcing to the world that you are a tasteless fool also lacking a brain and a soul.

I do hope this succeeds, however, because it may motivate Mazda to bring their wagon back on the market. And maybe by then they will correct that ridiculous smiling styling mistake.

  3. I would pick the Acura over the Crosstour in a heartbeat. If puke was an automobile, it would be a Crosstour.

  4. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
DAMN that Crosstour is UUUUUGGGLLYYYY!!! Honda would have to give that pos to me for free in order to get it off their lot. That TSX wagon looks good though. Hey Honda, if I came across the TSX wagon for $30K and the crosstour for $20K, guess what, I'd go for the TSX wagon.

  5. Neither. One is too ugly, and theother it too expensive. If held at gunpoint, I'd say the TSX wagon though.

  6. The front end would not look so bad if it weren't for the rest of the car. Both the front and rear would probably look better on a different car.

I would probably want the TSX wagon as a Honda. I think it already looks great as it is, and I don't understand why the American branch(true in Ford's case) who are so much more interested in marketing brand DNA then in bringing well designed cars to the states get to have a say in what we consumers get.

  7. The Crosstour would never be a consideration. Never. Ever. The TSX would win by default. But really, there are so many better cars than the TSX that I would probably not put it on my shortlist either. I've been in a new TSX and it's borderline boring like a Camry. The Audi A4 or Q5, Ford Flex or Edge, Cadillac CTS, a used Mazda 6 or BMW 3 series would all win-out over this. I know that they're not all in the exact same price bracket. But still, there are better options. I am glad that automakers are getting away from big stupid SUVs though. Wagons are so much cooler.

  9. Agree with Smegma,

The Mazda 6 wagon is a much more compelling vehicle. Unfortunately Mazda doesn't sell this in the US.

  10. I actually like both of them, Vince.

I still wish that they offered the Crosstour with 4WD and a four cylinder with a manual.

    My choice would be hard.

  11. Smegly: Mazda won't bring back the 6 wagon to the U.S. until at least the next generation. The reason is that they don't make a version of the U.S. 6 in wagon form anywhere in the world and it would take a significant investment to make one. I to wish Mazda had decided to sell the global 6 in the U.S. instead of one dedicated to the U.S. market. Then maybe we'd get the sweet-ass hatchback version again.

  12. No doubt, it would be the TSX even with the anticipated ugly chrome beak. The Crosstour is so damn ugly it makes me appreciate the the new Subaru Ourback, which I was convinced was one of the ugliest new models…until I saw the Crosstour. Attention Subaru, you owe Honda a big thank you!

Apparently you and your neighbors participate in the yearly "Gotta Have the Best Car" contest. In the end, it's just a damn car, so get over yourself. I visit this site to see the lastest releases, sketchs, spy photos, comparisons, etc.,….not to waste my time nitpicking people for the cars they choose to purchase. One person's trash is another person's treasure.

  14. The Acura wins.

I dont even know what to say about that CrossTour. I go past the dealership sometimes just to see if one's come in… hoping that it cant be as unbelievably disfigured as these pics they post.

Having driven a TSX for 3 days while my car was serviced, I agree with the comment about borderline boring. Its a car in real need of losing some pounds and some of the bloated interior stuffing Acura now considers 'luxury'.

But you've got to admit, the Crosstour is pretty darned ugly without any appreciable benefits. You might not have to have the best car in the neighborhood (I don't) but if you're going to spend money on a car, you don't want the worst.

  16. Id choose the CrossTwit because I am a tool of the state who cant earn enough money to buy either… Wheres my lunch box?
